You cannot go wrong getting any Lego set for any age recipient. Our grandson loves, loves, loves building with Legos and his imagination has no end with what he's done. I believe any "toy" that helps thinking and problem solving is a win-win.

A very good lego set for my lego mad 5 year old! It was great fun to build, with dads help and is very robust. It does indeed float! we tested it in the pool outside and he’s since taken it in the bath and shower! It looks a little different from the original as he’s played out lots of role play stories with it. The little dingy is already built and a good size and I was impressed with all the attention to detail. I’d recommend this set to any lego fan.
