Q: I purchased this ring and regulator kit and it whistles loudly during operation, additionally it doesn't seem to work very well at lower settings.

The gas flex line of our kit isn't non-whistles, so it will be a bit whistles. We suggest you to repalce it with a non-whistles one. Q: can I connect an additional 40 feet of hose to existing connector coupling to reach my main propane tank?

Yes, you can do that. kindly Pay attention, hose must installed properly to avoide gas leak and fire, and the 0-30PSI adjustable regulator and hose is high pressure and Rated BTU`s is 180K MAX, so your additional 40 feet of hose also should have high capacity to get better flame. in addition, the 0-30PSI regulator and hose with Female Flare Thread, hope this answer will help you. any more question,please let us know, we will try our best to help you.

Q: Isn't this supposed to have a pan? or how is the ring mounted?

You have to drill a hole through the bottom the size of pipe and it will kinda thread in , you have to go to hardware store to purchase a longer piece of pipe 3 in. And also fill bottom with p gravel witch helps keep ring in place

Q: Do you sell a Key valve extender to allow the valve to be set in a paver block
