Great product and service
This was installed in a 48V Club Car Precedent Golf Cart. First of all, it's fairly easy to install if you are handy. Saved me several thousand vs having the local golf cart company do it. The golf cart runs a bit faster with it, no acid to leak and the handy screen shows everything you need to know. Some things to note: Like all larger lithium ion batteries, this has a batter management system (BMS). This is to prevent it from overheating and melting on you, but also to prevent other disasters. Downside is that it will also shut everything down if the battery is at risk. Meaning if your voltage runs under the specified limits it will shut down so you cannot let this power down for long periods. Well, I had a medical procedure on my heart and was gone for about a month. My golf cart was NOT plugged in (don't think about these things when you're going to the hospital). Luckily I am back and alive. But my battery was dead. Completely dead. No charge from anything. Emailed customer support asking what I could do. Didn't expect much. However, Joseph responded and was amazingly responsive and helpful. Joseph worked with me on getting the battery replaced even though it wasn't their fault. The manual clearly states to turn the battery OFF to preserve its life if you're not going to use the golf cart for over 5 days (you can go longer but 5 days to be safe). Either leave it plugged in (the BMS will prevent overcharging) or turn if off by putting your golf cart in "TOW" and pressing the green ON/OFF button. If you can leave it plugged I bet that's the better option. Based on my experience with both the product as well as the amazing customer service, I give this product 5 stars. Very well made, works awesome, and great customer service!

Good Specs
The Vatrer system was acquired for conversion of a 48-volt 2013 EZGO RXV to lithium. Important considerations were the high capacity of 105 Ah, the high steady current limit of 200 amps and the 400-amp surge current for good acceleration. It may be that high current capacity helps support regenerative braking. The second-most-vital component of the kit was the on-board charger. The battery was half charged on delivery. Prior to installation, the charger was attached; and it provided the advertised 22 amps of current initially. This tapered off to about six amps as the charging process approached completion. The third component of the kit was a display unit. This turned out to be a standalone unit that could be used prior to installation. It required no connection to any of the cart wiring. A button push is needed to turn on the display. The display switches off automatically after a delay when operating the cart; it does not seem to switch off automatically when charging the battery. The display offers touch switches for turning on and off either charging or discharging the battery. The display satisfies all genuine needs; it leaves me, however, with an urge to add a simple, full-time display of just the battery voltage. The final component is a phone app that connects to the battery via blue-tooth. It duplicates many of the capabilities of the physical display. The blue-tooth connection is available even when the cart key is off. The information packet is limited and generic. This means that the owner must devise his own mounting system. I used three pieces of 5/16” plywood to level the original, forward battery slots and then covered that area with a larger piece of ¾” plywood. A pair of metal mounting rails would have worked just as well, given the sturdy brackets on the battery unit. Other than mounting provisions, the system became operable by disconnecting the factory charging port entirely, connecting all other existing battery wires plus the new charger, and making a small wiring change related to releasing the RXV brake. The kit packet did not describe the last item. For convenience of use, I replaced the factory charging port with an AC connector and escutcheon plate. The Vatrer kit came with eight 8-mm bolts, stainless steel, a bit less than an inch long with lock washers but not with nuts. There were two similar, shorter bolts, which I used at the battery terminals. There was a red and a black plastic terminal cover. I’ve played three rounds of golf so far, using less than 20% of the battery capacity each time. Cart acceleration is smooth and strong and easy to modulate. I anticipate good performance, while eliminating most of the maintenance headaches associated with lead-acid batteries.

Impressive build quality and ease of installation
I installed this myself to replace six dead lead 8v batteries in my Icon golf cart. I was skeptical on whether I could handle the install myself and I was pleasantly surprised. The battery, charger, and LCD and wires and such are expertly packed and come complete with easy to understand instructions. The battery is heavy, of course, but comes with handles to easily accommodate placement in the battery tray. I kept my old voltage converter and replaced the old charger with the new one. I ran the LCD wires under the cart and mounted it on the front dash. The install was rather quick after I learned I had to bypass an icon interlock function that prevented the cart from moving when it thought the charger was connected. Overall, this is a very good value for the money, the cart works great and has improved speed and acceleration. We can also go an entire weekend without charging. The charger has a fan on the side so be sure to mount the charger so the fan and vent have free air flow. I even accidentally purchased the 72v lithium conversion kit before this one and Vatrer worked with me quickly and efficiently to return the accidental purchase without issues. I'm very impressed with the product and with a 5 year warranty, you can buy it with confidence.

A very good battery replacement for a Club Car DS Golf Cart.
The 48v Vaterer battery is well built but the mounting screws shipped were too short to accommodate our 2021 Club Car DS model cart. This cart has an aluminum angle frame that required the fabrication of a 23" x 19" x 3/4" plywood secured with 1/4" by 3" carriage bolts. The LCD screen works great giving 3 pages of battery health and data. This includes the mV potential of each of the 16 lithium cells. I am going to photograph each of the screens at first charge for future reference. The battery shipped at 52% of charge and recharges rapidly. I think that this battery is a good value for the current price. I downloaded the Vaterer App from the Play Store and it installed rapidly and connected with the battery Bluetooth immediately giving a full battery status.

LITHIUM UPGRADE FOR YOUR GOLF CART!
YUGE upgrade from lead acid batteries! Easy install, came with battery charger & dash display. My golf cart had 8-60 lb each lead acid batteries. It’s now replaced by one 100 pound battery. Lots of torque and increase in speed, happy with my purchase would buy again

Product quality and customer support are outstanding.
I converted a lead acid battery system golf cart to lithium ion using this Vatrer battery. Delivery was fast, installation was fairly easy after watching a couple of youtube videos. It was a huge upgrade in performance and reliability compared to the old system. After about a year my battery developed an anomaly that was identified by Vatrer support after I sent an email to their tech support team. I had a new battery on my doorstep two days later. The swap was straightforward and took about two hours. Vatrer supplied a return FexEx label and I returned the old battery in the new battery's packaging. This was an excellent experience. I got an response to my initial support ticket within 30 minutes. Follow up communications were clear and thorough. I think this shows that Vatrer is a serious player in the lithium ion upgrade space for golf carts and I appreciate how it all went down.

All around an improvement over lead-acid batteries
Install was very straight forward with the help of a few YouTuber's and their videos. Cart is more responsive and definitely last longer than the previous lead-acid batteries. Excited to let the kids drive this and not worry about getting stranded on the property with the included screen for monitoring battery life and the built in charger, its a self contained unit ! Price was in the mid range of other LiPo batteries but the warranty is what ultimately sold me on it.

Almost a good system (updated)
Please see the update added to the end of the original review. This system was purchased 7 months ago to replace my Club Car Precedent's 4-12V lead acid batteries as configured from the factory. Changing over to lithium when you need new batteries is now a no-brainer. The narrow size version made the install very easy with minimal cutting. Currently, I see that mini versions are being sold so that no cutting would be required. My biggest complaint about this Vatrer system is that the gauge is functionally useless. The meter and the battery's BMS are not matched with one another (calibrated) so the remaining charge is wildly inaccurate. If you show 45-50% on the gauge and figure your okay to run it down to 40% or even 20% before charging, DON'T DO IT. It will let you sit for sure. The lowest I've ever seen my gauge was 45% and the battery's BMS cut off less than 5 minutes later. Either Vatrer's BMS is cutting off at a higher voltage than the manufacturer of the gauge thinks it should or the gauge is a mismatch for this battery. I'm guessing they likely just threw a gauge (similar in appearance to many other brands on amazon) in with the battery to complete the kit, but never matched the specs on it to their BMS cutoff voltage. Side note: A display that stays on or has the option to stay on would be nice. With this one you would always be reaching over to hit the button to see your charge level. As is, the display just stays off since the info it displays is of little value. Update: I am now thoroughly impressed with Vatrer as a company. After the initial frustration with the performance, they reached out to me to make it right. It wasn't just a symbolic gesture either. They bent over backwards to fix the issue. During the process they were very responsive and you never had to wait long for replies from technical support. It turned out the problem was not in the gauge but the battery pack itself. In the end they wound up sending me a new battery pack with updated firmware preloaded in its BMS. They really stepped up to plate and backed their product. Sidenote: If you are wondering why I only increased it to four stars instead of five (and I'll admit I am being picky), I would still like to have an option for the display to be either constantly on or to have a setting to customize how long before it goes to sleep. It is currently programed to turn off after a certain fixed time of inactivity but changing this would likely not be easy to implement. Even cooler would be to auto turn on when the BMS registers a draw from the cart, but I have no idea if this feature exists in any system, even at twice the price. Overall, I am now very happy with my purchase and impressed with Vatrer. They earned my business.
