VERY SOFT. They break easily. Colours are nice. Might be good for home use. Definitely would NOT recommend for art teachers or repeated use by students.

I teach art at my school from 2nd grade to 7th grade and all the classes use these when the art requires oil pastels. They are very soft so I must instruct the students to use them softly or they will break. Now they dont break anymore. So I feel they were an excellent buy and plan on refreshing my stock whenever the last purchase runs low.

I used the oil pastels to create artwork on poster paper. The colors are bright, easy to use, and blend well together.I also love that the brand donates art supplies to children in need. I teach art to young kids and will definitely purchase again.
