Extremely high quality, professional-grade tactical flashlight
I got this product to support many needs outdoors, doing repairs, or for emergency service. It is a very high-quality, all-metal product that is very durable. This is a very robust product with a long-lasting battery and solid construction that weighs just over a pound. It is designed to be gripped in your fist and operated with your thumb, either with the on/off button at the end of the unit, or the three position switch on the side. In LOCK mode the light cannot be operated. In DUTY mode it can be cycled through varying brightnesses. In TAC mode the light immediately goes to its full brightness, which is extremely bright and makes the unit begin to feel warm. Its white LED lights have a brightness range from soft to extremely bright, as well as a brief strobe mode useful with intruders or as a warning to approaching vehicles; see the video to get a hint at the broad range of illumination. The back of the unit includes a metal belt clip. The charge port is ingeniously placed inside the unit, and one starts to unscrew the front of the unit to expose the USB-C charge port as shown in the picture inside the yellow box; the end does screw come off. This method of protecting the charging port is vastly superior to all of the other product I own that try to cover up the port with a rubber plug that eventually comes off and is lost, so the way this product protects the port is vastly superior, but not obvious at first. For negatives, in practical use the push button is a little confusing at times because sometimes in DUTY mode the light just stays on temporarily, and I have to switch back to LOCK and then DUTY to make it stay on. Similarly the strobe doesn't always come on in TAC mode. However I just live in the woods and fix things, so don't find that minor issue to be significant. However I will take care not to overcharge this unit or keep its battery full at all times for fear of wearing out the battery, for which there is no obvious way to replace it. For strengths beyond what I mentioned above, the standout features of this product are that it offers an extremely bright light that is beyond anything else I own. This would obviously be a strong advantage for security folks or law enforcement. I use it to check for large animals where I live, look for damage after storms, or be able to see well when I'm fixing things in the dark. This lesser brightnesses are handy to extend battery or use more normally when extreme brightness isn't needed. But at night when you're checking for bears or trying to find the lug nut that got away from you by the side of the road, the extreme brightness is a huge plus. This is an outstanding product and is one that I am very pleased with and will always keep close at hand whenever possible. Recommended.

While I am likely not what one might consider a "flashlight expert" I have always had a bit of a 'thing' for flashlights and I own or have owned way more than I care to admit, including at least six different Streamlights of various sizes. I have so many flashlights that even I think I may have a problem, but you never know when you might need a good light. The TLDR version of my review is, this is the brightest flashlight I have ever owned but despite that, it still seems a bit expensive. As for my full impression, I tend to take the lumen rating of flashlights with a grain of salt since I have flashlights that claim much higher lumens than other flashlights I have, yet the lower lumen-rated lights are brighter. This flashlight is NOT that. This is far and away the brightest flashlight I have ever owned, hands down, no questions asked; it is painfully bright, literally. If you shine this light at someone using 'TAC' mode, it will literally blind them and they will be seeing spots for several minutes afterwards. If you don't need to have the absolute brightest light possible then cycling through the "Duty" modes also works quite well, although, I wish there was support for remembering which brightness level you prefer (or left it on last) with Duty Mode, so you don't have to cycle through them each time. The first setting in Duty Mode ('Eco') is quite dim and not really usable for a heck of a lot of situations in my opinion but I could see it being used for something like walking your dog at night where you really only need to light up your immediate path. The manual states that 'Eco' mode will last for 170 hours on a single charge. I think the 'High' Duty Mode' setting is excellent though. Not as bright as 'TAC' mode but likely still brighter than any other flashlight you have probably owned while also enabling the battery to last longer than 'TAC' mode (the manual doesn't provide estimated runtime for TAC mode but lists 'High' mode as 3 hours and 30 min). 'TAC' mode is simply insane brightness. Even looking at the light reflected in a picture frame in my house caused me to see spots for several minutes. The downside of 'TAC' mode is how hot the end (bezel end with the light) gets, very quickly. The good news is that the heat does NOT seem to transfer into the handle at all. I used 'TAC' mode long enough to get the light/bezel end pretty warm to the touch, yet the handle was still perfectly comfortable. I haven't tested 'TAC' mode enough to see how long the battery will last but given that the instructions don't specify a runtime for 'TAC' mode, I'm guessing it will not be a long period of time. I also tested the 'auto dimming' feature of the light that dims the light when it gets really close to an object, that did work although, I'm not sure if it will be useful to me. The build quality of this light is also excellent. The entire housing is quality aluminum, the knob/switch clicks into place firmly while providing good tactile feedback. This flashlight is pretty dang awesome, I only question the price. Bright, quality flashlights are not inexpensive, but the $219 price of this flashlight still seems a bit steep despite my admission that it is of excellent quality and is the brightest flashlight I have ever owned. I think the $180-$199 range would make this flashlight a much more attractive option. I included a short video of my in the backyard, cycling through each 'Duty' cycle and the 'TAC' mode, quality isn't the greatest and I really don't love making videos but hopefully it provides a real-world glimpse of just how bright this flashlight is.

works intermittently; tough price...
This is a substantial flashlight. It has serious heft to it, and the light can be blindingly bright. I like the rotator dial at the base that locks the functionality of the light. The indicator light in the power button to check the remaining charge level is handy and quick to interpret. I am a volunteer fireman with the local department, so I can appreciate the extended life of this battery, and/or the variable light output levels. That said, it's not as functional for my use as a 90 degree flashlight with a clip; this one requires continued hand interaction. I have recurring issues with the power button turning the flashlight on consistently. To charge this light, you screw the LED bulb assembly partially out to expose the charging port. I seem to not be able to find the sweet spot to re-seat the LEDs that facilitate the light working properly. Very disappointing... This combined with the current price point makes it tough to recommend from a value proposition from my perspective.
