Regarding noise cancellation did you turn on acn ?

It is very good in noise cancelling, of course not as good as over ear headphones, but they are really good in muting generic noice around.

No, wireless only. They are great last for 8 hours.

do you switch between devices, if you were on the PC but now need to make a call on a phone, do you have to disconnect on the PC ?

no you don't have to disconnect. But, I have had issues with the mic, does not pick up and people can't hear me when on a call. The technical help at Plantronics were NO HELP So, I would suggest finding a different device.
