Very pleased 😁😁😁
I purchased this "As New" from StudentComputers for £45 when the Amazon new price was £75 - subsequently Amazon reduced the price in the Spring Sale to £49 (but it has since returned to the original £75).... Anyway, I am very happy. The soundbar arrived next day in full commercial packaging (though the seals had been opened as advertised). Everything was wrapped and pristine with all accessories present and sealed. ie. The device was "As New" as promised. I was going to fix the soundbar to the front of the shelf just below our new "bedroom" Hisense Smart TV. However, this wasn't necessary as it just fitted below the TV on the shelf. As such, I didn't need to use the supplied brackets and screws etc. I used a new HDMI cable (alas, not supplied) to connect to the TV's HDMI-ARC socket and the corresponding socket on the soundbar. I then connected the UK power lead and turned the device on. The TV immediately recognised the new CEC device and now uses the soundbar for all audio. As such, the TV remote now conveniently controls the soundbar volume and power. ie. As regards use with the TV, the soundbar's own remote control is redundant. It is useful when I use say, a Bluetooth connection with my mobile or tablet, or for adjusting Bass and/or Treble. Sound quality (particularly the base) is surprisingly good for a soundbar in this price range. It's not up to Bose standards but is very acceptable in a small room and certainly a whole lot better than the TV speakers..... So I had absolutely no issues - and I am rather chuffed. 😁👌😁👌😁 NOTE. There appears to be some confusion when using the HDMI-ARC connection to a TV. In this configuration, no other cables (Optical, AUX/RCA etc) are required. The audio signal is passed via the HDMI cable. I did find that an old HDMI cable I had in a drawer did not work. A new HDMI (2.0) works perfectly. ARC and CEC need to be enabled on the TV. On our Hisense TV, they were enabled by default - see photo.

Annoying standby mode
Good sound. Looks smart. Easy connection. However, I hate that it switches itself to standby mode. I haven't read the manual so hope there's an option to disable it. If not, not sure I'll keep it.

Replaced for blown plasma tv speakers
Well i run my tv though a amp with 5.1 system all good but not for when you want to just watch a bit of tv without turning on everything, as my plasma tv is old so the speakers have now blown but the screen is fine, the answer is this sound bar, its not the best but for the money its great for 70 pounds its cheaper than a new tv. Ive found no problems setting it up even the bluetooth to my samsung s9 was so easy, no passcode, just found saved then play from phone easy. Ive contected it with a rca to phone for my tv as my optical out is going to my amp system, there is some modes news movie music not played much with these and to be honest i wont as if i need that i would turn on my 5.1 system amp. So all in all if are looking for a bar thats as big as a 49in tv this would fit just any smaller tv the speaker would be bigger. Ive put mine on top of my tv and held it on with duck tape, it does come with some brackets for the wall but my tv isnt that close so i will have to make brackets that will allow me have it on top of the tv without the tape. For a cheapish sound bar for a old tv its great with good bass and clean sound.

Sounds very good for the money
Connectivity: I wanted my soundbar to have an HDMI port since my 6 years old Samsung smart TV had an ARC port. This was one of the cheapest soundbars with that feature. I am happy to report that with the HDMI cable; I can use my TV remote control to adjust the volume of the soundbar very smoothly. Be careful, the first HDMI cable I tried did not transmit anything, so I had to try a more substantial HDMI cable, which then worked well. I also tried my laptop and smartphone to connect to this via Bluetooth, which also worked very well. Spotify or any music you may have on your laptop streams wirelessly very well. Sound: I am not awfully picky, but this sounds very well. It was a joy to listen music from YouTube or Spotify. As the other reviewer indicated, the sound is on the bass side of the spectrum. There are only 3 pre-sets, so you have limited control on the level of bass you get, but otherwise, it has been very enjoyable. The sound improvement this has made to my 48' tv is immense. Design: It has a generally well made, solid feel. It is very slim, at 60mm high, so I am very happy. Remote: The remote is too small. The text on it is hard to read and button layout is not great. However, it is fit for purpose. Overall, I am satisfied with this bargain.

Sounds pretty good
I bought this because my new TV's sound quality was as bad as a bad thing with a bad hat on , on a bad hair day. It took no time at all to set up using the ARC connection from the soundbar to the tv's ARC connection via a good quality HDMI cable. The HDMI cable needs to be good quality ,high speed version 1.4 otherwise it's unlikely to work. Bass is better than I thought it would be . Speech is clear and volume range is fine for me.

Good sound, good quality but...
It's an OK soundbar, good but not amazing sound quality, it does it's job well but the wall mount brackets are a bit of a joke so if you're looking for a soundbar to hang it on a wall, buy something else. The brackets are way too tall making about 5 centimeters gap between the soundbar and the wall (that's due to power cable plug in the back that's parpendicular to the soundbar, bad design) which makes the soundbar look just stupid when hung on the wall.

sharp speaker
This arrived on time and well packed, easy to set up I think because it worked perfectly when I had it on sky but it would not work with netflix or amazon prime. On these two channels there was no sound this was on optical. I tried several different ways but no successs. It is a mixed message for my ratings but that is how I see it and sadly I returned it for a refund which was no problem.

I'm not much of a soundquality expert. But when i did build my tv in the wall i needed a soundbar. Even for someone who doesn't really recognize the difference in quality between soundsystems it is a direct pleasant upgrade from the tv-boxes to this soundbar.

The sound stop every one minute and the quality is nothinh but bad. Have to throw it and buy something else.
