Blade is sharp.but cover does not look wooden as mentioned in the product information.It might be made up of Plastic or some other material.

The TACHI model piece that I received, is totally below expectation.The Handle and Sheath are made of plastic, and the Sheath is so loose that it falls off the knife blade, making it useless and unsafe.Also the cover of the Peeler is so tight, it was impossible to remove the cover and use the built-in Peeler.While the blade seemed sharp, my past experience with other knives from Machado is that once you sharpen it yourself at home, using any normal kitchen-knife sharpener, the blade stays sharp for multiple use.I will recommend sharpening the blade once a month, if used daily.

Strong. But size is a kitchen knife for veggies and fruits

Slightly disappointed with the make/built quality (Sheath and Handle : Hollow thin steel instead of solid precision steel). Overall seems sturdy. Should suffice for the occasional fishing or camping trip, if intended for filleting only.

After looking at the pics of this knife, I was hoping it to be some kind of prized possession of mine but this was not the case when I received and saw it in actual.Looks and the touch feeling wise - it’s really good. Not ordinary wooden handle or sheath. Elegant touch and design. I am fully satisfied.Size wise - This knife disappointed me compared to other knives I have. Knife collection is a hobby of mine. To fully complement its looks, the knife should have been little bigger breadth wise and about 1 to 2 cms longer. But definitely it should have been broader. Blade is not 11.5 cms but its 11 cms in length as I measured with a Scale.By the feel of it, I think it’s good for cutting lemons, tomatoes, cucumbers and stuffs like that. Not for heavy duty. It’s more of a collection sort of thing that you would occasionally want to take out for display to your friends or guests and sometimes just would like to enjoy the touch and beauty of the knife in your hands to cut through small stuffs.In conclusion - Look and material wise, I would like to handover 4 stars. Operations wise - 2 stars. I tried cutting onions but I had to struggle really . Let me know if anyone is interested and I’ll upload vdos related to onion, tomato, etc cutting. Should have been broader and sturdier to make it complete. In end I wish , this or some other company comes out with the exact design I am looking for.
