Blink Mini 2 – Plug-in smart security camera, HD night view in colour, built-in spotlight, two-way audio, motion detection, works with Alexa (White)

I bought the outdoor power cable kit and have it plugged in to an outdoor socket to watch our cats when they're in the catio.The picture is nice and clear quality.The build quality is good - it feels robust, despite its small size.The functionality is improved compared to the first version of the camera. Motion detection can be limited to humans, which is good for security. No more false notifications when a spider spins a web in front (something my Blink Outdoor does).You can configure its small light to come on when it detects motion. I don't know how effective the light is, since I have motion detecting outdoor lights that come on at the same time anyway.However, because it integrates so well with the Alexa app, I do use a combo of human motion detection and Alexa to turn on a light inside the house that's got a WiFi/Alexa enabled switch and then turn it off again 5 minutes later, if it's nighttime.Value for money is good - it's regularly available at a much reduced price on Amazon (though the outdoor kit never seems to get a discount)Set up, adding to my Blink app, is quick and easy (just got to know your WiFi password when it asks).

These are great quality cameras for the price point. Working with the on-line subscription or the hub that is also available, they can be set up with motion detection zones and adjustable sensitivity to allow you to get real-time notifications on your phone when motion is detected. This can be in colour if there is enough light, or B/W for night vision. They will help you keep an eye on your space at all times. Not only can you watch, but you can also talk and listen through the camera using the Blink app, so perfect for communicating with family members or pets while you're away from the room they're covering.You can also switch on or off the small light illuminating the general area of the camera, which is useful too. To store video clips, you’ll need a Blink Subscription Plan, which requires a monthly fee. Unlike some cameras, this one must be plugged in (it uses an adaptor and USB connector), so where they can be placed is limited by access to power nearby (it has a 2m USB connector initially but that can be extended with an extension USB cable.It is an excellent budget-friendly security camera, with great video quality, color night vision, and smart features. While having to subscribe for cloud storage (or purchase of a hub), and it's wired setup may be minor drawbacks, it’s still a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and affordable indoor security camera.

Looked to use this as a cheaper alternative for a baby camera. Works great however you are not able to keep the video stream up for long periods of time. It does time out after 5 minutes but the image quality during the day and then at night with the night vision is great. Sound quality is also brilliant and it was very easy to set up. Good value for money.

Mini 2 is bettter than older generation. Easy to assemble and use, great value for money. Good image, sound

Not sure what i got as the package was looking horrible, they didn`t even bothered to put it in an amazon box, so not sure if they were brand new or re-used but one fact is for sure, THEY ARE USELESS, i got 2 different sets of blink mini, blink mini 1 and this blink mini 2, as you expect they should be better as they are v2, and they are, nice picture and new way for 2 way talk, but that`s it, i took this basically to replace v1 from my baby room and my room, and to put the old ones into living and on the stairs, but it was pointless as they were keep disconnecting from WIFI, every time ( v1 work as they should in the same place same WIFI ), not to mention that i had to delete them because it was impossible to reconnect them to wifi, and also not to mention that after i deleted them from my blink account SOMEHOW they were still registered to my account, so yeah...i gave money for something that should be BRAND NEW and i got some used cheap trash.PS. it seems that the mic is also trash as it is keep interrupting on both ends...not on v1 ...Update to my last purchase, black ones were sent back and took the white ones, said maybe there was a manufacture problem with those ones, but NO, wifi module is BAD, all this comparation is made against the v1 of blink mini that i won and all tests where made with both of them standing one to each other, so WIFI is BAD, speak sound is BAD, Mic is BAD...not sure if the software is doing this but they are horrible, i will be keeping white ones as it seems they are not disconnecting as the black ones, haven`t yet tried to move them ( unplug them ) to see if they lose WIFI and need to be reset and reinstalled into the app

Brilliant product. Absolutely rubbish delivery by Amazon. Package was the box itself, and it was ripped open at both ends.
