The Sunshine Court (All for the Game)

Not sure where to start other than to say - what a treat. An unexpected one. Even though I have been a fan of AFTG series for a few years, I haven’t been obsessively checking for updates from Nora Sakavic because truthfully I did not expect another book. So when I realised book 4 was released I must have screamed with excitement. As expected, Jean’s story was as painful, if not more painful as Neil or Andrew’s. Without revealing the plot, there were many times during the book that I thought not only ‘how did he have such strength to go on’, but I was reminded about so many of other Nora’s characters who seem to have almost otherworldly strength to ‘endure, endure, endure’. The continuation was more than fantastic. Heart and chest clenching good. Classic Sakavic feels, tormented me almost beyond my own endurance levels to be able to imagine the events. So much so that it’s no wonder it took the author years since the last book to find the bravery to write this story. It’s got to take its toll and for that - we salute you Nora Sakavic. Congratulations on another fantastic and memorable novel. Goes into the very special list of books that left me gasping.

Was I extremely excited about this book? Yes. Did I care a lot about Jean? No, I pretty was indifferent to him. Do I care about Jean now? My god yes, I'd literally give anything to see Jean happy. This is exactly how to build a sequel with different characters. The perfect amount of overlap with TKM, the perfect amount of focus on the Foxes while shifting focus to new characters, and the perfect way to explore the fallout of the events of Neil's actions. The dual POV worked perfectly and Nora is a master of writing unique, three-dimensional characters. Jean is Neil's foil in just about every way and I am so excited to see who he becomes in the next book. But more than anything: this one hurt a lot

I read the first three All For The Game books so I was preparing myself for the inevitable emotional distress this book would put me in but dear God I was not prepared. To put it simply this book was beautiful, it was so interesting to be inside Jeans mind, it was also interesting to learn more about the Ravens, as sad as it was. Jean's internal thoughts are truly heart breaking but the ending of the book left me hopeful to see where his journey goes after this. I felt like this book expanded so much on certain characters like Jean and Jeremy of course, but Renee, The Trojans and even Neil were shown in a new light and I loved it. It was a refresher after only seeing things from Neil's' perspective (not that I didn't enjoy his perspective, that boy is my child at this point I'm so attached) but to see these characters perceived by someone else was nice. I adore the Trojans, I haven't forgiven Lucas yet but I have a feeling he will redeem himself. Cat was one of my favourites and I cant wait to find out more about her, I also cant wait to hear more about Jeremy his family life, what he went through with them and most importantly his future relationship with Jean, I cant wait to see where these two go, I've got a feeling their going be adorable. I cannot wait to see Jean blossom with Trojans because God knows that boy needs a bit of sunshine. All in all this was a brilliant book and an excellent reintroduction to the AFTG universe and I will be eagerly awaiting the next book.

The Jean Moreau novella we were all waiting for delivers on a lot the emotional notes and it's fun to see some of the characters and events from the main trilogy from an outsiders point of view. Very character-driven, like the best kind of 'no plot only vibes' fanfic. Glad that the author didn't go complete fan service; the ending gives Jean a lot of progress with his character arc and leaves him in sight of a better future but with the details of that future still open.

6 years I’ve had this series, 6 times I’ve re read it. This is a tradition I think I’ll keep. I grieve their losses, cheer for their hopes and laugh at their humour. This boy makes my heart ache and I’m glad he has a universe where he lives and can experience a cool evening breeze, rainbows, open roads and friends 😖❤️

oh my god jean's pov is everything to me i love this book so so so so so much already, seeing old characters from the first trilogy from his pov is so interesting, the way nora writes him is top tier. the double pov/narration is also something that stood out in tsc, seeing those months from jean's and jeremy's pov gave the story a whole new vibe. nora's writing is amazing, jean moreau is amazing. i just love the aftg universe so much. anyone who enjoys those kinds of books u pick up and can't put down until it's finished will love tsc

I loved this book. It had the right amount of call backs to the original AFTG to make it nostalgic but still a story that can stand on its own. Jean felt so real and genuine that I can't wait to see where this story goes. Despite having a much bigger roster the USC team still felt fairly fleshed out and left me wanting more. I'm so excited to learn more about the story after the end of TKM, and loved the opening chapters about everything through Jean's eyes. I love this book. I love Nora Sakavic. I love Jean Moreau.

Obsessed. I could read whatever this author writes in this world over and over again.

I didn't know this new book was coming, so I was 6 days late to the party. I didn't had any expectations, and not because I thought it was going to be bad, but I just didn't have an idea of what was going to happen (I've read sooo many Jerejan fics lmao, I'm not gonna hide it), so I went at it with an open mind and lots of excitement. It didn't disappoint. Jean's POV is heartbreaking, as we all expected. I loved that we could perceive the contradictions between wanting to survive and being stuck so deep in trauma (Riko has a place in hell with his name on it). We get to see that complex hate-love relationship with the Ravens and the Raven mentality/way of life. I'll stay positive that we're gonna have a next book soon because I need to know about Jeremy's family and all that drama that was hinted in the secod? part of the book. I honestly love it, and (spoiler ahead) the scenes with Neil are my favorites, especially the last part, he's a little AH but a protective one, just like Andrew.

Completely worth the wait!! After ten years Nora has picked up where she left us off with the Exy players and she has managed to portray them all so beautifully and perfectly.
