Heavy weight plastic definitely waterproof
The material is a heavy weight plastic. Used whilst camping in a heavy rainstorm, no problem! Generous fit. Should fit over a rucksack when being worn. Probably a bit too heavy for lightweight hiking kit.

Brilliant piece of kit
I use a mobility scooter and walk my dog. I have worn this cape when pouring down and come home dry. I wish I'd got one sooner. It's over size so perfect even over a thick winter coat.

Waterproof Ripstop Hooded Nylon Poncho
I have heard allot of reviews on these poncho's, like being able to make shelters with them, so i decided to get one. It arrived within the week i ordered it despite bad weather and on opening I was very impressed. The poncho is huge which allowed me and my burgen to remain dry despite walking 3 miles in heavy rain. Only my lower half of my shines got wet which was not a big deal. The sides of the poncho are connected with 'pop buttons' which can be undone to create a large waterproof sheet mush like you're very own basha/tarp! This makes it useful to have at hand, especially for camping as it it light weight and can be worn or made into a shelter. it is easy to dry and clean. The only downfall with this product is that it did not feel very strong. Although the ripstop squires are noticeable the material is very thin and it would not surprise me it it would rip under strain. brilliant for camping but not very heavy duty. came in it's own draw string bag and available in a range of different camouflage.

Heavy Duty.
This was much heavier duty than I was expecting, and consequently bulkier and heavier as a result.I haven't worn it.I mainly bought it to use as a small tarp in conjunction with my treking poles when I'm out on day hikes, to give me somewhere dry to sit and eat lunch when its raining.I replaced the drawcord on the hood with paracord, because I found the original stuff to be difficult to draw up. I also removed the pointless dangley cords from around the edges, again, I use paracord to pitch it.On the whole I'm happy with it, just don't expect it to be light and flimsy like a tent fly sheet. Its tough, thick 'rubberized' material.

Great poncho
I spent whole day on training area under heavy rain and wind in this poncho and it was the day I stopped hating rain. Worth every penny spent!

Actually Waterproof
Popped it on during a thunderstorm downpour - over the head as fast as I could. Stopped me from getting absolutely soaked. Hung out to dry, with a good airing and no mouldiness. Does exactly what it says on the packet. Haven't tried it as a bivouac - I will leave that to more experienced people.

Good and versatile
I bought this as an emergency poncho / tarp with the idea that it would be handy to have to put a tarp across a toilet area when out camping in the wild or if it came to it, use it as a poncho to answer the call of the wild in the rain.It packs very small, nice and light and the eyelets make it very versatile. The only thing I'd say is that if you were to wear it as a poncho for a prolonged period of time you'd end up sweating quite a bit due to the thin nylon material, but that's to be expected as it isn't meant to be breathable.Great value though. For £18.99 (which is what I paid for it from Amazon at the time) it's not a lot of cash or weight to have as an emergency poncho / tarp in your backpack.

Quality!
This is perfect for me at 5'8'', just covering the knees, poppers on the sides to close you in completely or open for airflow, quality material. I'm over the Moon with this Poncho, I have brought cheap flimsy ones in the past, this isnt one of them!
