I take this along when I walk the dog. I feel safer. Over the past 5 years I've used my pepper spray twice--both times on dogs that got loose and came up to attack my doggo. Although if you're concerned about your own safety, surely it's good too. Keep in mind that one of these is good for about 2-3 years, then you should buy a new one because the pepper stuff degrades. Also, when you first get it go outside and do a 'test' to get the feel for how hard you need to press and how far the spray goes. This will be invaluable if an incident occurs. They have about 10-14 sprays in them so burning two or three of those testing/getting experienced does not sacrifice lifespan.

Love that they have a warranty that if you use it for any reason they will replace it with a new one at any time.

I purchased these for an upcoming trip and liked the compact size. They are not much larger than a pack of gum. I decided to try one out so I knew what to expect. The distance was not 16 ft it was closer to 10 to 12 ft and you get a few short bursts and then it is empty. The spray did maintain a stream that you could aim. I don't know if I had a bad one but would have preferred the advertised distance and will carry at least 2 as one will be gone quickly.

Most pepper sprays are 17%, and this one is 18%. Every little bit helps. If I had looked more closely, I'd have seen that only the case has a key chain ring on it and not the canister. Takes too long to remove the spray from the case in an emergency (like a pit bull running down the sidewalk to eat your Chihuahua- true story). Carry in your hand.

I decided to try mine out in case I need it going to the mail box. It just trickled out and down my fingers and hand. Did not stream 16 feet as advertised. Useless in my opinion.

Safety is easy to get used to,have not tried it yet but,I trust this brand on prior purchase from them..
