Grinder, 2.5 Inch Manual Grinder

This thing is awesome.I don't really mess with the mj, but I got this to grind up Ma Huang / Somlata sticks/shrub. Previously I was using a mortar and pestle, which also works pretty great, but it is more labor intensive and more time consuming. I also am pretty sure I wasn't extracting nearly as much with a mortar and pestle as I am now with this thing. The mortar and pestle was already an upgrade from just breaking the sticks and steeping them in to a tea, but this grinder beats them all.For the photos, I broke it apart in order of how it is assembled to demonstrate what it looks like. In order from top to bottom we have the following;1) A storage compartment.2) The top of the grinder teeth, this part is magnetic instead of threaded which is nice to quickly continue loading.3) The lower grinder teeth, and first coarse filter.4) The fine mesh screen filter.5) The collection tray.It also comes with a little itty-bitty squeegee thing to presumably push more of your fine particles down through the fine mesh screen. Which it works for, I tried it out. I'm glad it's included, but i also found just tapping the grinder against your palm and sifting the coarse contents back and forth generally works pretty well also. I guess depending on how expensive your reagent is, it would be worth using the squeegee to make sure you got every bit of what you were trying to extract.I don't really use the storage compartment as I will spend a certain amount of time grinding up a batch of twigs, because the storage compartment wouldn't hold enough to be useful. But for people who fw the mj, then I'm sure this is a handy compartment to have.Extremely happy with t his for my purposes.

This grinder is a keeper. It is a keeper because I can tell you its been a year now I use it every other day. But it is a bit of a process. The final grind outcome is exactly what I want. But know this, you will have to stop grinding the Product maybe twice during the process. The product gets compressed and a scrape with my knife I flip the compression product over and proceed. If you over fill it thats fine but the product will compress and the top lid wont mate with the base. A scrap on the outside to the middle solves that. Keep the little magnet in the center clear so the cap will mate with the base. And finally know this. You will have to poke and clear the little holes with a tooth pick after every time you use it. A minute hassle yes but the end grind is worth it. The storage part on top I have never used. This grinder sits on my desk and does not travel so I dont need to store anything in it but it does make the whole thing bigger in my hand and easier to twist. Now I gotta get back to work!!

I like the look and feel of this grinder. I've used it for grinding dehydrated wild oregano and onions from my yard, as well as recreational product. It makes the fun stuff fine enough, but not too fine, so it burned quite well.

My only problem is the magnet is junk and it comes apart really easy causing the content to spill.

I've had probably 8 grinders in the last 10 years, some cheap and some name brand and pricey. But somehow I have never even come across a grinder quite like this one before and it's INCREDIBLE.This thing has w e i g h t to it, like almost heavy for a grinder but I really like it! The teeth are short and shaped differently than every grinder I have ever owned. It almost helps push the flower down against the blade edges and helps shove the flower through the holes with almost no fiddling or shaking.In my hands the grinder feels high quality, almost luxe and like it was much more expensive than $27. I love the top compartment for storage and there is a catch at the bottom under the screen with a little spatula shovel thing for scraping. Exactly what I was looking for.I'm really considering buying another to gift to someone else because I'm so impressed. I havent cleaned it yet or used it for a long time, but first impressions and first grind were extremely impressive and now I'm starting to question that shape of the blades in all other grinders...Edit:I've dropped my rating to 4/5 stars because after a couple weeks use now it's tough for any matter to smoothly go through the small holes. They clog easily. I'm still using it but it it isn't as smooth of an experience now.

I really love the easy use of this product. I like the separate screen areas. I would definitely order again without hesitation.
