My daughter has been on her lap-top A LOT this summer, so much so that her neck was starting to hurt a lot. She knew the problem was the angle because she was using her computer while sitting on the sofa, but the pillows she tried to stack up were wobbly and the laptop kept sliding off. This cushioned lap desk was the perfect solution: it has enough texture to keep the laptop from sliding, it is extremely stable, and it allows her to move her legs around as she pleases. The surface area is large enough that she can put the laptop, her phone, and her mouse on it without it being crowded, and her shoulders and arms can be comfortable either propped on the arms or dropped down at her sides. The whole thing takes up as much space as one of the wooden or metal ones would, but the legs of the wood and metal ones we have tried tend to slip down into the gaps between the cushions causing the whole thing to tilt, or the slick surfaces are too slippery. This lap desk stay stable and has enough grip to keep the things on it from sliding. It came with a separate cushion with two cupholders molded into it, which has been extremely useful to her as well, though it doesn't attach to the lap desk. The material is a neutral grey that works with our colors, the fabric is very soft, almost velvety. The cover can be unzipped and removed for washing, though we haven't washed it yet. No more neck ache, my kid is comfy during her gaming sessions and her supplies no longer go tipping and falling and sliding away! This works for us in a way the traditional lap desk with legs or the small ones would not.

I absolutely love this product. It’s comfy, yet sturdy. I purchased it because I’m always on my laptop and or reading in bed. This is my first night using it and it’s exactly what I needed. No more hurting my neck by bending my head, to permanently become Hunchback. I love the arm rests so I can prop my arms up during laptop use. I’m on my laptop now but using my phone is a good example of how it’ll be when I grab my book before closing my eyes for the night. I got the larger one, which I’m grateful for. I don’t think the small one would have been for me. I highly recommend. I didn’t have any issues with smell or the zipper like I’ve seen others on here. Hate they had to deal with that because what a shame to miss out. I was too lazy to remove the material to wash it so I used my steamer to clean it off first. Love this! I might get the small one to prop my feet up!

The cup holders on these should be much deeper. That being said, it’s very comfy, holds a plate and cup or laptops perfectly. I’d love a “stand” attachment for my cellphone. Live the washable cover & foam.

It's literally perfect. This is a real product review not a robot. It's a pillow. It's exactly what i was looking for. Mine is sturdy and im not sure what the negative reviews were about. Im in college at oral roberts university and this pillow helps me do homework in bed and my laptop fine. I'd give it 10,000 stars if i could.#buyit

The zipper wasoff the track when it can't then broke immediately after touching it. The whole thing works well and it's comfortable besides that. I got it for a couch gaming desk, the only similar product i found was 5 times the cost and this does the job great besides that. Easy recommendation if they didn't skimp on the one spot holding it together, the rest of it is actually quite nice.Plan on just throwing zipper ties on it, would probably buy again just due to the lack of options. With a better zipper, it would be an easy 5 stars, realistically.The extra arm with drink pouch looked pretty stupid but after having it here, I like having it. Not the best at holding things upright but separately makes for a great movable armrest on the couch

I do a lot of reading, and I am on my computer a lot. Both of these activities can be very hard on neck and shoulder muscles, and I was experiencing constant pain. I don't have an actual desk to work from, so I usually sit on the couch to read or use my devices. A chiropractor recommended finding a way to elevate my book or computer so that I'm looking straight at them instead of downward. Your head actually weighs quite a bit, and if you're constantly looking down, that's a lot of weight pulling on those back muscles and tendons. I looked at quite a few options, but I liked this one best for a number of reasons. I like the way it's constructed, and I like that it comes with a separate piece with cupholders.It does take up a bit of space, but another nice thing about that separate piece is that you can turn it upside down and put it on your lap, basically using it as a smaller version of the main piece. This is perfect for traveling in the car, where the actual portable desk would be too bulky. I am just so pleased with this purchase. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to alleviate muscle strain. It would also work really well for people who are bedridden. It works much like a "breakfast in bed" tray.

I was super excited to have this portable lap desk to be able to work from my bed or sofa. When I got the package, the foam was vacuum sealed, which okay, no problem it should smooth out. But it never did. A little over a month later (and unable to return it) it never did. Then the inserts that make the sides were deformed and it took me several attempts to get them in the right way. It still has never looked like the photos. When I finally was able to use it my laptop weighed it down and was not able to withstand the weight and the sides began to bow out. If you will only need this to write or do crossword puzzles, then it may be right for you. Other than that hard pass….

This is definitely made for individuals that are really skinny and don't have hips. Not only that it is extremely flimsy. The idea of how the device is portrayed is great but it can not fulfill its task of even staying up. Almost dropped my laptop multiple times due to poor leg support. A waste of money.
