Anyone notice the binder does not fully close because of the design of the zip??

I have not notice that. But I assume you mean right to where the zip starts. Personally thats negligible. since you bee space for the seem to expand and retract.

No you cannot insert more pages. It holds 360 cards and is very good quality my son is very pleased with it.
