Great for crafting purposes! Probably not as coasters.
I purchased these to make Christmas ornaments by covering over the labels with stickers I made. Stinking cute!! 5/5 for crafts! As a coaster?? That would be a mess…plastic and paper do not absorb sweaty cup water…Monica would not approve.

These Are So Fun!
I bought these realistic looking record drink coasters for a friend who has a "rock and roll" entertainment room in the home. They function well as coasters and have cute labels with clever names for the "songs" and "artists" on the labels. Very giftable and fun conversation pieces.

Cute novelty, but not great for daily use
There is a hole in the middle of the coaster (as shown in photo and like all records have) and I didn't think about how condensation from a sweating glass would go through the hole....and on to my wooden side-table that I was trying to protect in the first place. The coasters are super cute and done well, but they aren't practical for daily use.

I smiled when I first opened these and touched them. I didn't expect them to actually feel like vinyl - I had 45s as a kid so these brought back wonderful nostalgic feelings, and they look amazing in my home studio! I really like that the labels have cute names, and color schemes that actually remind me of legit records I used to have. I am impressed with the texture (scratch it and it feels like a record), I think they are the perfect height (if your glass is sligthly off it will not tip over), and the anti-skid is an EXCELLENT added feature! For those mentioning that the hole is a design flaw - I disagree - if you had condensation it would create a "ring" around the edge of your glass and stop there - the hole is small, authentic, and a non-issue. And the funny thing about these is that despite not having handled a vinyl record in so long, I realized that I always "automatically" hold them by the edges to protect the grooves from prints. Isn't that funny! Old habit die hard but that's just to say how authentic they feel!

Ingenioso.
