At the end of the day, anything that keeps you cooler and helps you avoid heat exhaustion or worse, sun stroke, is a major benefit. I play a lot of golf, in both hot weather and the rain, and this helps in both cases. The wide brim provides protection in both cases and it's light enough to roll up and pack without taking up a lot of space. Another benefit is that you can soak it and then wear it to assist in an even quicker cooling. I guess there's not a lot you can say about a "hat" but if you spend a lot of time outside in the warmer weather, it's one that's better to have and not need, than to need it and not have it. I did notice them on sale at Lowes the other day, but they were more expensive than they are online. You just have to wait a little longer for them to arrive. :)

While there are many sun hats out there, you’ll be happy to know from a first time sun hat buyer THIS is the best and for a couple of reasons:SPF 50: This hat blocks out those harmful UV rays. I was canoeing for 3-4 hours and camped outside all day! No sun burn.Cooling tech: I loved taking my hat and dipping it into the water and squeezing out the access water and putting back on to feel that cooling sensation. Lasted a long while and impressed at how well it worked.Quality: Materials used in this hat was superb and loved the airflow on top of the hat. Pair that with hat getting wet/cooling tech and the breeze and felt amazing on a very hot day.

Love the hat . I was a bit annoyed at first as it came in a plastic bag and was folded. However after reading the tags it is meant to “wring out” if it’s wet . You can wear just as a sun hat- the brim will adjust up- or as a hat to keep you cool by soaking with water . This feature will be very helpful when I mow . It is also vented to just wear as a sun hat . It is a little big but has an adjustment to make it tighter.. All in all I love the hat.

Unless you wear a hat size of smaller than a size 7 this will be too small.Add a sweat band and it's really small.Quality was good, and it's light weight and seemed to be good as far as sun protection.

I walk dogs for the local humane society, and the heat is becoming unbearable. Plus, I sweat so much, my eyes are burning after my 3-hr shift. This hat takes care of that and makes the heat a bit more tolerable. I wet it a few times a shift, wave it around, and my head feels much cooler. (Please note that the humidity here is very low, so my hat dries quickly.) The added benefit of being SPF 50 makes this hat that much better. It is extremely durable, well made, and priced well. I bought my husband a couple of Mission ball caps a couple of years ago and was impressed. I knew I couldn't go wrong with a Mission hat. Highly recommend.
