Xerox WorkCentre 6515n A4 28ppm Colour Multifunction LED / Laser Printer

Fantastic all in-one, a little larger than expected but not an issue. My husband loves the quality and the ability to network his printer. He did say the Wi-Fi one would have been better. But this can have the Wi-fi module added.

Good: (1) It worked out of the box over the network. (2) Easy Linux install. (3) Excellent print quality (4) Very easy and clean cartridge replacement.Not so good: (1) the "duplex" capability advertised is manual only - you have to print odd pages, return them to the bypass tray and then print even pages in reverse order (2) the bypass tray jams a lot with more than about 12 sheets of paper, much less than the capacity suggested in the instructions, and the "unjam" dialogue is painfully slow (3) the Linux driver is clunky. It pops up a new window after the normal print dialogue; the number of copies does not carry over, so needs to be set in this second window. Other capabilities like odd/even page printing (needed for duplex) are not present in this driver.

Worst buy ever, every page gets stuck, doesn't deserve 1 star, Amazon had the cheek to offer me money off....for a printer that dont print, this lump of plastic is sting in my hall taking up space as a trip hazard

I bought this product as an Amazon warehouse deal so perhaps my experiences are not typical. I found it quite impossible to connect it to my computer through a USB connection. This meant that it was not possible to site the printer where I wanted it.It wasn't possible to connect it with wifi because the item did not come with a wifi adapter.I did manage to push it into the hall where my router is located and it was possible to get it working with an ethernet cable. It wasn't an easy job to move the printer because it weighs 68lbs. The problem now is that the printer is in an inappropriate location and is in the way and I am therefore having to buy a wifi adapter and those are not cheap.I did contact Xerox about the usb connection problem and after some troubleshooting questions it was concluded that the usb port was not working on the Xerox WorK Centre.Apart from the unexpected connection problem, there was another important issue. It is described as auto-duplex on the Amazon website. It is most certainly not auto-duplex. I would never have bought it had I known that it was only possible to print one sided documents automatically. That is a top criterion for me in selecting a printer.I did contact Amazon customer support over the problems, and they offered me a discount on the item. I accepted that because the print quality is good.

The fact that this printer prints 5500 pages with 1 compatible toner which costs around 25euro is very cost effective.. The touch screen is easy to navigate, I have one at work and it never stops printing and I just bought one for home. Scan to email or NAS, networked, Duplex Printing,Duplex Scanning, Mobile printing... What else do you need?

I dislike the fact that this printer is NOT duplex and cannot be upgraded to do duplex. The product description is slightly misleading. I use this as my office printer . Everything else about it is excellent. But, who in the 21st century buys a printer of this calibre that has no duplex capability. And it's extremely heavy!

I've never known such a difficult product to install. I couldn't figure it out. There was no technical support. Totally disappointed

Yes it prints and copies well but trying to get it to scan to your computer ? well I hope you have extreme knowledge of computers and massive patience. Frankly the scanning system does not function. Like another customer I tried to contact XEROX for help. Don't even bother to reply. In the end I went to US Xerox and they got somebody from UK to contact me. What did they advise? I spend nearly £400 to have a service visit and warranty.I am profoundly deaf so using a phone to talk is not really an option but I followed a help line phone number that ended somewhere in the Far East. The person may have been very knowledgable but I am afraid their accent and clarity meant I could not understand what they were saying. US Xerox said if I was in USA I could email them for advice but they were completely separate from UK. In the end I pointed out to the USA that as the parent company surely they could get someone from the UK to contact me to help solve the problem. In the end someone in the office "unofficially" arranged to speak to my daughter and helped her install "Not another scanner" a non Xerox product that for six months did the job until an electrical storm caused a hiccup and I am now back to scanning to a USB, into a pdf that I have to use Adobe to convert back to word.Buy this model for anything other the scanner.
