Great quality plant tie.
Excellent for tying up climbing plants and also as an alternative to plant wire. Soft and gentle on plant stems too. Great value for money, I would definitely recommend 👍

Nice soft twine for delicate plants
This soft twine looks great, is easy to use, and most of all won’t damage delicate plants. So far I’m quite impressed with this twine. It came in two good sized bundles, so there’s plenty of it to go a long way. The twine itself is made from a soft material and has a t-shirt-like feel to it. I’ve found it stretches out slightly width ways, but not so much length ways, meaning it can be used to tie items without fear of it stretching and the item sagging. I’ve also found it cuts really well, with no sign of fraying. The gentleness of the fabric means I can happily use it to tie back plants without worrying it’ll damage them, and the colour means it blends quite nicely. My only complaint is from what I can tell it doesn’t appear to be made from a natural material. This might mean it’s more durable, and good for long term outdoor uses, but it does mean it’s less environmentally friendly to dispose of.

soft, stretchy, good for loosely tying up plants.
soft, stretchy, good for loosely tying up plants. You’d be hard pressed to break any tender shoots using this.Really nice to use in tricky areas around plants. The green is quite vibrant though, so doesn’t 100% disappear into the canopy.Solid product, 5 stars.

It's made from polyester - not ideal but it does the job
As a keen gardener, I thought these plant ties would be an ideal product for me to review. You get two rolls of ties in this pack which look like two balls of wool, totalling 60m in length, so this will last you a long time. The material is very soft and slightly stretchy - practical for tying, supporting and training plants in your garden. However, the main thing to bear in mind with this product is that it's synthetic (made from polyester), which is not compostable. Synthetic string made from polyester, nylon or resin is not biodegradable or UV stable. As a result, over a period of time out in the sun the fibres will disintegrate and eventually end up in your soil where they will never break down. Do some research as there better more environmentally friendly products on the market.

Plant ties (2 x 30m)
I ordered these plant ties to tie newly established plants to wooden canes in my back garden. I was surprised when I received the rolls as they aren't like traditional twine they are made of a soft polyester material.I was concerned that they would slide down the canes when they got wet but that isn't the case at all. They are easy to tie and the material is easy to cut and even after a downpour they stay in place.Sturdiness isn't an issue even with the material being so soft and my more delicate plants haven't been damaged when I've tied them up.The ties are versatile and can also be used for crafting, having two rolls gives you the scope to put their versatility to good use.Despite my initial reservations with the soft material I have been really happy with these ties and there's still plenty left on the rolls. The material isn't bio degradable unfortunately but that is the only negative I can find. At £8.99 currently I do think these ties represent good value for money so am happy to recommend.

Soft, stretchy and useful around the garden. Colour is a bit bright though
These balls of garden twine are very useful to have. They come in a zip-seal plastic bag to store them in, and are around the size of 2 balls of wool. The fabric used to make them is like torn-up strips of soft, stretchy t-shirt material. It comes in a continuous length that has been wound into the bundles, so you can cut to the size you require. The colour is a bit bright, being an emerald green. It's difficult to blend it in and hide within the garden, but I guess at least you can see where are you tied it. If you're new to gardening, don't forget when you tie a plant stem to a cane, trellis, or support, tie it in a figure of eight shape. This stops the stem from rubbing directly against whatever you’ve attached it to.

soft plant ties
This soft plant tie is essentially t-shirt material yarn. It is approx. 2cm wide and the fabric is quite thin with a little bit of stretch and is really soft. It’s great for tying in all sorts of plants such as tomatoes and climbers like clematis and the softness of the material and the slight stretch means it wont cause damage to the plant stem. I’ve used quite a bit of it in my garden so far and I’m finding it easier to use than twine. The colour is quite a bright green but it blends very well with the foliage and isn’t particularly noticeable.I found that if I cut a short strip and then cut a slit towards one end, wrap around the plant stalk and support then put the other end through the slit a few times this makes a quick and easy method of tying in and the tie can be pulled off fairly easily as well.

These are polyester fabric not garden twine
These polyester plant ties are being advertised as kind to plants but they’re certainly not kind to the environment, I didn’t realise that it can take up to 300 years to degrade. Jute string by contrast only takes 1-2 years. If these accidentally end up in your soil they’ll be there for your lifetime, it also can’t be broken or snapped without cutting and not degrading means they’ll end up growing into the plant once they’ve taken up all the stretch.I won’t be using these as I’m really not happy with them.

Pas vraiment extensible et pas biodégradable. Très cher pour ce que c'est ...
