This pump does the job that I needed it to well. I have it shut all the way down and it still pumps the water up over 6' for my hydroponic systems. I bought 2 more in case I ever need one.

I made the mistake of buying this pump twice. The first one lasted less than a year before the motor died. I didn't think much about it since I usually buy cheap pumps and have to replace them every year or two. However, the second one only lasted about 5 months. This time, the impeller came loose on the motor shaft so that the motor turns, but the impeller doesn't. It would be repairable, except that I would have to break the housing to gain access to it.

The pump is in my yard fountain and works well; however, it shuts off periodically and then restarts.
