Women’s Speedcross GTX, Waterproof Trail Running Shoes

These fit me great and are very versatile as a travel shoe. I took them on a winter trip to Japan and found them to be attractive enough for "less sporty" looks on days when I was walking for hours in urban environments and were great as expected for hiking in mossy and frosty forests. The easy on-and-off speed lacing really came in handy at shrines, ryokan, and other no-shoe locations. My typical day on this trip involved 8-12 miles of walking, and these offered great support and comfort. I would definitely buy again.

Best in class! I am on my feet all day and these are a game changer! So comfortable, easy to get on and off, lightweight to wear throughout the day. I get compliments on them all the time and everyone wants to know where I got them. So durable and my feet are very well supported. Great price! Very fashionable as far as a hiker goes!

Received June 19, 2025. Since then I’ve put a little over 1500 km (960~ miles). Although the tread still looks almost new, I can feel the foot bed losing is stiffness (to be expected) that I really liked. The 9.5 is true to size, although I will get a half size up if I repurchase for extra toe room. They truly are waterproof, but with the cracking of the uppers, that’s starting to fail every now and then. The grip offered by the tread is 2nd to none, just right for gravel, grass, dirt, even slick clay mud. The shoe is a bit hard so I would recommend custom insoles if you need a bit of cushion and for decent arch support. Pictures of them today to show ware. For reference I am 5’8, 170 lbs and wear a 9.5 - 10 in running shoes (Altra, brooks, Hoka, Solomon).

I have been enjoying hour-long walks out in the country trails by my house and wanted a shoe that had more tread/grip once the snow started to fall. I decided to give these a try and now that I finally had a chance to try them out, I just HAD to write a review! Not only did these shoes keep my feet warm and dry, I'm happy to report that these shoes provided a high degree of support and grip as I walked through several inches of snow and some patches of ice. I absolutely love these shoes--- this is a high quality product, worth every penny!

These are great for hiking. They made me feel very stable on the rocks and loose stone. I wore them to walk in as well, and they were very comfortable.

Wore these on a 8 1/2 mile hike the trail had snow and ice patches. These shoes were lightweight. Kept my feet dry and warm and had great traction.

Geniale Passform für schmale Füße, extrem gute Federung, jetzt auch noch mit Goretex Ausstattung. Ein Traum. Der Schuh sitzt wie angegossen, eigentlich will ich sie gar nicht mehr ausziehen. Es ist mein drittes Paar von Salomon Speedcross-Schuhen. Eine Größe mehr bestellen.

I tried countless hiking shoes and ended up with these. They were the most comfortable of all the versions I tried. My only negative would that it is high in the heel and as an already tall person I don't need the additional height. Also I worry whether I may turn my ankle wearing it but hopefully that won't happen. If you are short this can give you an extra 1-2 inches in height.
