Holy Grail for Curly Hair!
I've tried countless products for my curls over the years, but the Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie from SheaMoisture is a total game-changer. The bonus size is a great value, and the 16 oz jar lasts a long time—even with regular use. From the very first use, my curls felt more moisturized, defined, and soft. The blend of coconut oil, hibiscus, and shea butter works like magic—no heavy buildup, just bouncy, frizz-free curls. I love how it tames flyaways without making my hair crunchy or greasy. It smells amazing (like a tropical vacation), and it leaves my hair touchably soft. I use it as a leave-in after washing, and my curls stay hydrated and springy for days. It's also great for refreshing hair in between wash days. If you have naturally curly or textured hair, do yourself a favor and grab this. It's a staple in my routine now—absolutely worth every penny.

Excellent product
I have been looking for a long time for something like this when an old fav Kiels silk groom was discontinued. This is the only product that I have found that comes close. It is great for after the shower on damp hair to smooth frizz, improve texture and enhance curl. I have thin hair that is wavy and as I age it is getting more course. My sister turned me on to this product and it really does what it says. It smells great too.

I’m Shook
I have very dense, multiple personality hair - it’s almost straight underneath, wavy mid length and kinky on top. In a nutshell, impossible. This cream works so well - it helps hair to chunk in sections, it smooths and its not greasy. My hair doesn’t feel weighed down at all. I thought it would turn frizzy, heavy and bushy throughout the day but it didn’t. And it’s so much more affordable than what I’ve been using. Big win. Going to buy a tub of it!

Good hair cream for soft defined curls
I really like this hair cream. The tub is large. The smell is good. It leaves my curls defined and supple. I am Afr.Am with curly coily hair that is moderate to dense/thick. There is a little bit of a crunchy feel which I don't love but nothing that would make me upset I bought a whole tub. I think it will last a while. I don't need to use a lot to cover my hair and on average use a decent amount of creams because I like my curls moisturized and defined versus big and fluffy. My normal creams are Curls Curl Creme Brulee or Palmers Coconut Milk Curl Cream and this is very similar to those.

Wonderful for 4B/C Hair
(I posting the same review for this product as I did another product by this company.) As someone who, as a grown adult, is still learning how to properly take care of her hair, hopefully this review will help other black women who were in the same boat as me. First all, I have insanely kinky hair; if there was a level beyond 4b/c, my hair would qualify. I visit sites like "NaturallyCurly" and "Black Naps" for hair care direction and product information. The SheaMoisture was on the top of the list for the L.O.C. method. That stands for Leave-in/Liquid, Oil and Cream. Some people choose water for liquid but if you live in an area with hard water (like I do) and your hair has super low porosity (also like me. I can leave my hair in a glass of water and it won't sink for nothing) then it's much better to choose the leave-in method (it's extremely important that you know your hair's porosity or this method will not work. Take a piece of your hair, put it in a glass of water. If it sinks immediately, you have high porosity, if it floats for a bit then sinks, you have medium porosity. If it takes forever to sink, if it does at all, you have low porosity.) I will also note that some women do L.C.O.; it's whatever works for you hair. For the oil part, once again, you have to use what works for you hair. I use avocado oil because of my low porosity (check out naturallycurly for a list.) For cream, once again the SheaMoisture brand was recommend and I bought SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I've only been doing this method for about fpr a little while and HOLY GOD have I noticed a difference. The SheaMoisture is amazing! It's not super heavy and my hair seems to spring back into curls after the use. I highly recommend both products.

I'm a believer - no-crunch curls and a smell that puts a perma-smile on my face :D
(Note: Regarding my picture...I like a looser, less defined curl when all is said and done - so I use a wide-toothed comb and lightly separate some of the ringlets after it's dried. So this product does produce a more define curl, at least for me, but I don't like that look as much and soften it up afterwards. So the picture is my rendition of what I do after it's dried, lol) Anyway, I don't treat myself to a lot of special treats, and in MY budget, $13 is a LOT for a hair care product - but I was won over by a curly hair blog that recommended this stuff, and I'm so glad I bit the bullet and tried it. Besides what might seem like the most obvious and important thing, that it really does make my curls well-defined and not frizzy without being crunchy - and this is for sure true - the smell is just SO GOOD. Seriously, when I put some in the bottom half of my hair after a shower, or sometimes a little in between showers after I've wet some of the frizzy parts down a bit, for at least the new few hours as I wait for my hair to dry, the smell makes me so happy. I'm not even joking - I guess you have to be a fan of the smell and that is indeed subjective, and I'm not even exactly sure what hibiscus smells like, but I do detect a slight flowerly scent in there beyond the coconut, so that must be it. And I know it sounds a little weird to say, but I find myself sometimes grabbing a handful of hair and smelling, even after it's dry. No one else has said anything to me about the smell being super noticeable to them after it's dry, even hubby as he sleeps right up by it, so it does chill out after it dried some. But I can still smell it now a day later if I grab a handful and smell it up close. I just love it. Also, my worry on the cost and pampering myself with it were unfounded, since I have used it for maybe 5 showers since I've got it, and my hair is a little past shoulder length (but I only apply to the bottom half of my hair, except right around my face tends to get a little frizzy, too) and I haven't even scratched the surface on how much I've used. At the rate I'm using it, and I'm no good at guessing, but I would say it will last at least 100 showers for me (meaning the full amount after I've gotten my hair completely wet), so when you look at it that way, it's actually crazy cheap to all my WalMart hair care products I was using before! Go, me!

Gave me a migraine
I love the texture of this product. It does in fact work on my 2B/2C hair. It gave my curls a lot of volume and bounce. Great combo of shine and hold. It's a great way to spruce up 3rd day curls. My only complaint is the scent. I am prone to migraines, and this triggered one. Twice. I also can't stop sneezing. I'm definitely allergic to to it. I will be giving this to a curl friend who doesn't have allergies or migraines because I don't want an effective product to go to waste.

Lives up to the name.
I have a combination of 3a & 3b curls. On days that I wash my hair (usually once a week on Saturdays), I follow up with this curl enhancing smoothie. I grab a big scoop with my fingers, mix it with some 100% pure Shea oil (also from Shea moisture) and distribute it through my hair with a wide toothed comb. I rinse about 70% of it out after I let it sit for a while and then shake out my hair in the shower bent over with my head upside down to give the hair some volume from my scalp. After that I gently pat it down with a microfiber towel and let it air dry (if I'm pressed for time I'll use a blow-dryer with an air diffuser) and once my hair is dry I'll pay it down to soften the stiffened curls. Using this method, it really defines my curls without having them sit flat at the top of my head. Since I started using this product over 2 years ago I haven't gone to anything else. It's effective, inexpensive, it smells nice and doesn't feel greasy. It's definitely a staple of my bath products shopping list.
