Got this the 5th march our dog is 45kilos, lead is starting to fray near where clip is for collar, can’t use now as scared it might snap when walking him. Supposed to be upto 70kilos ? No opt yo n to contact seller, amazon advises to return and reorder.

.... so maybe it's a ManStyle inside. Maybe it's as rough N tough as it says.The lock though ...is nasty. If you've got gel nails, gloves or feeble 'bits that live under your nail edges' you might want to think twice. The locking action is silly 'small', firm and fruity.Kong! ...are you there?Overall it's sturdy though and maybe that's more important...when your truck is taking you for a drag. My Labrador lad feels just like a street surf with aunty Scania and no trailer up front. Me is the trailer. So I'll be seeing how that goes.

Great value for money. My dog is 57kg and this lead is very strong. Only thing is the smell when you forget to leave it extended to dry after a walk in the rain

The media could not be loaded. Update after 2 months use still holding a 50kg Bully Bordeaux. it really hasn't missed a beat. It held him trying to chase a deer last night and he was full chat by the time it locked and there was no issue stopped him in his tracks, don't worry he's on a harness lol. Just ordered another for our other dog now I know it's holding up. Absolutely brilliant I just wish the lead was a bit longer, other than that this is absolutely the best retractable lead I've had and the last one was almost £60 but my 3yr old Bully Bordeaux broke it within a week, I took him out yesterday and today and this lead is a god send. It can lock so that he can't move forward anymore but I can still retract it. Its extremely strong well tested already he's seen 3 cats and a dog and it held him more than easily. If you ownabig strong dog I highly recommended this if you want them to have a bit of freedom without the worries. Will be recommending this to all my my friends.

Bought for my giant puppy , he weighs 48kg and still growIng I’ve only used it a couple of times as I’m not confident it won’t snap when he decides to run. The handle takes getting used to as others have said it’s probably better for bigger hands clicking and I clicking the release button can be hard . Do I think it’s worth the money when others are out there - as of yet I can’t see the advantage of it , it says holds dog of 70kg but I wouldn’t trust that if you have a giant breed like myself

I have German shepherd dog who are strong so I wanted a device that was sturdy enough to allow enough freedom but also good stopping mechanism and easy grip handle.I got the one that takes up to 40or 50kg dog even tho mine isn't that big .The handle is easy to hold doesn't slip even in rain,the buttons take a bit to get used to so my advice would be have a go in home with your dog first so you can get the hang of it , mine is 5mtr full extent but think 7mtr be better in open land ,i use mine with a sturdy harness not collar .if you do have an active strong dog be careful when no lock is on the device as dogs being dogs may think nothing is attached ,dart forward and be yanked back when your arm fails to leave your body!😩.this did show the device is very good , so far it's working really well and would recommend this item 👍
