Looks and feels kinda clunky, because the brush head is larger than the actual area of brush bristles. Thin metal bristles with round ends, so they're comfy to dogs. But our dogs think it feels great. Took to it right away. And after just one good brushing of one dog, this brush brought out a LOT of shedding fur, so I just pressed the button and all that fur was lifted off the top of the bristles. Wah Lah, clean! Yes, I'd recommend this dog brush. (The last brush I threw away was so tightly packed with stinky fur that it was disgusting.)

I love the way it feels in my hand. Easy to operate. Not too long, not too short. Sturdy construction that looks tight and resilient. Works wonderful on my cats, both long hairs and my short hairs. I tried it on my little dog (Yorky/Dashound mix) who has 2 inch long hairs, and when I went to operate it to have it push the hairs out, at first there was a little resistance. But that is because dog hair is coarser than cat hair. Cat hair pushes out easy Peezy. I would highly recommend this brush for cats.Pay no intention to the negative reviews because one lady apparently took her brush apart and broke it. I do not see how it's designed to be taken apart at all.This is a great brush for cats. They feel like they're being petted. My cats all liked it and they all have different personalities.I have one cat who just has thick hair and pulling the hair out of my old brush with sharp bristles was painful to my fingers. I LOVE THIS BRUSH with soft knobs that will not irritate your cat's skin and the hair just pushes right out when you manipulate the button.If you're looking for a good brush for your cats, I highly recommend this brush!

I like the idea of the retractable bristles, makes cleaning the brush so easy!!!!! My only complaint is that it feels cheap of the light weigh and hollow plastic. Overall works great!!

Was a bit larger than I expected but the brush locks in position for brushing when finished release the lock and hair can be easily taken off!A light touch is all that’s needed as the brush does the work! Brushing too heavily might result in scratching the pups skin. It does a really good job of keeping tangles out when used everyday. Seems very durable and should last for years. Have seen others for almost double the price but this one is great and very sturdy to use as well as comfortable to hold.

My dog enjoys being brushed with it. it works pretty well at removing excess hair, and it is easy to clean. Doesn't seem like the most durable thing, but it has held pretty well so far, which is a few weeks of almost daily use.

My other one had over-bent tines and wouldn't align after releasing the collected fur, so I bought this one too replace it. There was something about it that grabbed the fur differently, causing me to accidentally snag or yank it through the fur. My cat didn't like it unless I used it anywhere on her head. There's short enough fur there that didn't do that.

I have to say that I was skeptical when I first got this brush because I haven't had good luck with many dog brushes, but I am so glad I bought it! My dog (smooth collie) has a double coat and I usually use a heavy duty furminator brush on him, but I noticed that it was causing irritation on my dog's sensitive skin. I decided to give this one a try and it is perfect. It is easy to use and it removes my dog's extra hair effortlessly. It also gives him a freshly brushed look. It makes his coat shiny and silky. I love that there is a little lever to make the hair easier to dump into the garbage. Highly recommend!

Five stars. Easy to use, effortless cleaning. I never thought I could brush my dogs in the house. Literally I can do it while they’re lying on my bed. Hair doesn’t go everywhere.

I bought this brush for my short haired frenchie/aussie mix she has short frenchie hair with an Aussie under coat, worked great takes a lot of hair off. Easy to use and dispense the brushed hair into garbage. Definitely recommend.
