Star Trek: Discovery - The Final Season [Blu-Ray Steelbook]

Shocking that this wasn’t the planned ending because so much is wrapped up amidst several looks back. I would’ve loved one more season but five seasons is an eternity in streaming. The stakes are lower so it feels like our characters can relax and have some fun. They’ve earned it.Looking forward to Starfleet Academy! Let’s fly.

The actors do a very good job, but they are working with the script they are given. This season it seemed alot of running the race with a wierd and unsatisfying end. It is as if they had this elaborate plot planned over 10 episodes but it was ran too slow in parts and then too fast! I suspect I prefer the episodic variety where the story line is concluded in a single episode. It is too long to be a movie so the continuing story line has to be really, really good or it looses its way. Sorry but while this is good, it doesn't come close to the level of prior renditions. Since the original I think the series with John Luc Picard as captain comes close. Sure you can have a 2 or 3 part arc but it takes great writing to do that over 10 entire episodes and this one just failed to deliver. Perhaps my expectations were too great as this one has had this format each season and I have felt the same way each season with the exception of the first one.So storyline is really maybe 3 stars, but the actors and special effects bring it up to a 4....if you are generous.

I needed this to complete my DISCO collection.... thankful to have it.

It is a better season than some over the last few years. It has some high points and low points, DEI stuff of course. The ending is satisfactory.

I’m sad to see my new favorite Trek go, but I’ve loved its journey over the years. It threw more curveballs than even my second favorite Trek, DS9. Burnham will always be my captain. I salute all the folk who made this adventure possible! Let’s fly!!

This is the Star Trek series that broke the mold, packed with new ideas but builds on old ones from TNG and The original series. It's really great trek, but it shakes up the formula. Might not be what you expect on the surface, but it's still soul is still Star Trek.

You can tell they were gearing for season 6 either a couple of the storylines before the show got canceled. Discovery isn't my favorite but I have steelbooks for the prior 4 seasons + Picard and Strange New Worlds
