Review: A wonderful, heart touching story! - I smiled, I was in shock and in end I felt like I'm about to cry when I finished reading this wonderful book 'When Love Came Calling' written by the wonder woman Preeti Shenoy. It seems I had a ride through a valley of emotions. The book was more than just love cooking up between two youngsters. This is a story about two youngsters who are poles apart in every aspect. Puja, a girl of 19, confused about almost everything except her strong instant needs lives a posh life as her parents were rich and well settled. On the other hand Arush, being the same age as hers is always well planned about his life and everything that comes around lived in UK and is more thoughtful about his actions unlike Puja. They meet each other when they were for a volunteer work at a rural place located in Kerala. The only difference being that she came forcefully while he was thrilled to visit India, the place to which he actually belonged. As both of them gradually discovered each other, they happily dived into the ocean of love. Unknown of the upcoming storm in their lives, they got hit very badly. But still the love between them remained intact until the storm got strengthened enough to separate them. Miles apart, unable to connect to each other Arush got doubtful about what he felt while Puja was sure about this one thing except all the things in her life. While Arush was nurtured back at his home, Puja still struggled to make her parents understand about her situation. As she wasn't so thoughtful, she fought with her fears and took a huge step. She flew off to UK without her parent's permission. And that's when she finally discovered certainty in her life. She understood the value of love as well as family and most importantly herself. Arush too had a great ride on the rollercoaster of changes all this while finally understanding that thoughtfulness isn't applicable everywhere. I enjoyed reading the book along with the small illustrations with small yet impactful sayings. The language was so free flowing that I was loving to read it aloud. And the beautiful description of the rural Kerala for a moment intimidated me to go over that place right now. I don't know why but I really blushed up while reading the moments of Arush and Puja. All the events in the story, like presuming about someone's thoughts when you're in love with that someone and you're unable to connect, the strong willingness of parents to make their child the best not understanding what the child wants, realisation of being wrong suddenly when all this time being on thought of doing right, all these felt so relatable . All in all, I would recommend this book to everyone and especially who are confused about the certainty of their life and family, and those parents who never try to understand this child. The book touched deeply the core of my heart with not only the young thrilling love but also the importance of family and the fact that no matter how one person is different from others, it doesn't matter. Letting one person with its own self is what we need to do, be it our family members or a familiar stranger. Review: Great for lovers of contemporary romance fiction - It is a contemporary romance fiction following the two characters Arush and Puja. Arush is a NRI who's visiting India for the first time. Puja lives in India. She belongs from a wealthy family and is not very ambitious in life. If anything, she's confused. Arush and Puja's paths meet and these two, with totally different personalities, soon hit it off. We are able to see the story of young love in today's generation. However, it's the real world and both of them are soon forced to deal with it. There come a few plot twists in the story and I am all for it. My absolute favorite thing about the book is that it explores India (mostly Kerela) from two different perspectives. I am someone who feels strongly about my culture and heritage. I get concerned when I see anyone completely dismissing their culture. Therefore I love the fact that it tries showing different sides to India. Also, since the author is herself based in South of India, she describes Kerela very well. Although for most part of the story it is a typical romance novel, the later half does deal with other things such as familial relationships and their complexities. Both the central characters are written quite realistically and I struggled in constructing my bias towards any one of them. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing. I guess each to his own. The character development is done well. Overall the book is well written and is gripping. It's easy writing style make it a quick read. I don't really have any complaints from the story. If you love contemporary/ romantic fiction, you can go for it. However, if you prefer something deep and intense, maybe you can pick something else.

STARTS WITH LOVE AND END WITH LIFE CHANGING ADVISE
HERE IS THE DETAILED REVIEW OF THIS PROMINENT WORK OF THE AUTHOR- "A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for." - JOHN A. SHEDD. The book starts with this tag line which impreses it's readers a lot. And I read it in one stretch. The story deals with PUJA, fiery, confused and on the spot decision making girl, and ARUSH, on the other hand, a studious and shy boy, belongs from the UK. The story divided into 64 parts or sections and reflects a harsh part of our conservative society, which is to chase your parents' dreams tremendously without thinking about yourself. It describes beautifully KERALA and talks about our rich heritage culture, which was completely vanished by the BRITISH'S as they claimed they gave us the education system, railways, and many more things, but how can they ruin a whole culture, as India is not a country. The story shows beautifully our rich heritage of India. In one book you will find Love, Rage, Teasing, Dreams, Family View, and many more aspects of our daily life. So, grab a copy of this lovely book and definitely go for it. This also reflects how the family is important for everyone in his entire life. It shows all ups and down with family of younger generation. I will not write all summary of this beautiful and mindblowing work of the Author. In last, I'll give this book 5 points out of 5, as it is a fabulous out-standing work of the Author. Go and get a copy and read this beautiful work. Thank you. If you like my review then press the HELPFUL button. But, first-time AMAZON send me a very bad packaging since 2017. Kindly pay attention to it.

At first, I didn't like redirection the novel was taking, but as the story progressed, I saw your point. A brilliant novel in teenage rebellion, parent/ child relationship and young love.
