I misunderstood the "self closing" part of the description. I thought it automatically grabs and pulls in the door. It doesn't. 😂But it works for hardwareless doors. Obviously the door sticks out about 1/4" to allow the mechanism to work.

Works great for my trash cabinet. Easy to install.

They work well, not real smooth though

I built cabinets with 2’ x 7’ 1/2” plywood doors and these catch and unlock easily. I will buy more when I need them.
