Beautiful, scholarly book a must for any textile geek
This is a beautiful scholarly book not a light read but the pictures are worth the price if you never read more than the labels on each picture.

This book belongs in every quilt or textile historian's library.
Buy this book! Linda Eaton has updated one of the most important textile and quilt history texts ever printed. All the pictures in the book are now in color. Readers no longer have to imagine how the textiles look- they have recently taken photos to show them. New scholarship has been incorporated that adds significantly to our understanding of these textiles as well. Even if you own Montgomery's original book, you need this book.
