Very good with a two-headed caveat that is...
...The audio on phone calls is terrible and the text messaging doesn't work at all. What is odd is that I can hear music very well through my in-helmet headphones but phone calls are awful and again, text messages are not even coming through 90% or more of the time. Otherwise this is a fine unit and it works very well on my Harley Ultra Classic. With those two caveats explained, I still consider this to be recommendable. Thanks! 07/29/2024 I returned the unit today as I think mine is faulty as it is just getting worse. Once the return is verified I will order another from the company in the hope that the phone and text and Siri functions all work. The unit would seize up and music was no longer being played. Siri does not respond and I could never receive or send a text and the call functions were also non-functioning. Hopefully the next one I try will do everything as advertised. Thanks! 09/30/2024 Update! I ordered another one and received it and installed it on my Ultra Classic. This one works with the following caveats: The music portion is very good and the ease of use is excellent. And now for the phone, texting and just asking Siri for assistance. My bike has stock CVO pipes on it but the end caps are missing. It still seems louder than I would like. Now, I cannot make a phone call using Siri because I cannot be heard. I decided it was a problem with the mic and the noise level so a cheap (literally!) fix was to take a small zip-lock bag and put it over the mike and use a rubber band to hold it on. I then cut a hole on the side of the mike that faces my mouth. I then went out to test my "theory" eliminating as much directional sound as possible should allow the Carpuride to hear my voice. A friend texted me and it came through via Siri speaking to me but I was unable to replay. I opened my helmet up and requested Siri to call my friend. It worked! I then spoke with her on the freeway and on surface streets and had no problems at all. She reported that I was easy to hear too! After the call, I asked Siri to play some Frank Sinatra and...BAZINGA! It worked! I also asked for directions and Siri, through the Carpuride provided them with voice prompting! I have not ridden for a week now but will get back on soon for more testing but I can say that now I recommend the Carpuride highly. I am using the USB power but will most likely hard-wire it to the bike's battery sometime down the road perhaps prior to taking a 1,000 mile tour of Arizona in the near future! Any changes/problems I will update here! Thank you!

Impressive Unit
This is my second such device. I bought one of the 10 inch horizontal unit from another company for my other car and now this one. I must say this is pretty good unit, not that my other device had any issues as well. But for the good points on this unit...This is pretty responsive, bright and clear device. Camera looks good, although am only using the front camera for now. The unit looks sturdy with good mounting options and sound output options as well. It has pretty good reboot time of about 10-15 seconds to be operational after i start my car so works good for all needs of music or gps. Music from any previously used music apps starts automatically once its connected and is seamless and start screen for me is the gps and am using android play. My wife has Apple play but if i keep both configured it does not connect successfully or atleast am not able to make this work till now so only keep mine connected for now. Bad: - although the mounting points and options are good, the unit is heavy so its mostly should be a permanent mount and should not be thought of using it with different cars. The unit is also big so although this is also a good point for using it realistically for gps and everything is big and clear for directions and such, this is also difficult to hide on the dash. so that has to be given a thought. Personally I liked that it is big so all directions for gps is big bright and clear vs my other unit that is 10 inch horizontal low profile unit. I would say that this unit is little more responsive and touch screen feels nice, however since the screen is big its a fingerprint magnet. I would definitely recommend this as a daily driver unit for all practical purposes inspite of the price being little on the higher side as there are not many bad points on the unit itself in terms of electronics or its function

It's okay but keep your GPS
I have used the Carpuride for a few months now. Overall I would say it works okay. The screen brightness is more than adequate in all lighting conditions and is clear and easy to read. The size is a good compromise between functionality and ease of installation. All necessary hardware is included for the installation and it takes only a few minutes to get it up and running. I have experienced an issue with the function on it. The second time I used it, it lost connection to my phone and the screen returned to the home screen. The bluetooth icon had an X though it. After restarting the Carpuride it returned to normal. I sent customer service an email and they responded fairly quickly asking a few questions and sent an update to the firmware. I installed it but after about a half dozen more rides, it did it again. Not sure how reliable the system is as this isn't an issue I have experienced with any other device I am currently using. The update process is not the most convenient. It requires downloading the file to a micro SD card and then inserting the card into the Carpuride. The slot for the card is recessed making it difficult to install the card without removing the unit from the mounting bracket. This design could have been much more user friendly and the whole process could be done wirelessly had they added this feature. My Garmin GPS does all its updates wirelessly and seamlessly. Despite this process the issue is still there and at this point I am going to just continue using it as is. I reinstalled my Garmin GPS and am using it in addition to the Carpuride. It has always worked flawlessly and has never given me an issue while out riding. It does everything I need should the Carpuride act up. When I am out riding the last thing I want to do is spend time trying to get a device working along side the road. Hopefully Carpuride gets enough feedback from users and their future updated devices will improve. As a Car Play device is works adequately. Thus far I can't really say it has added a lot of benefit over my Garmin and it probably isn't something I would buy again. If you don't already have a high quality motorcycle GPS then this would be a cheaper alternative that provides decent mapping along with a few other features that Car Play can provide. I use a helmet communicator which works great for calls or communications from my phone so I am not using this function on the Carpuride. I am currently trying to set up the Carpuride for weather monitoring and secondary mapping. If I can get this accomplished then it will serve the purpose I need and should the system act up again, it really isn't an issue that will bother me on the ride. Not really an ideal situation given the cost of the Carpuride but it doesn't seem they have a fix yet. Hopefully they will eventually.

Well-Built and Thought out
PRO: As described, screen navigation was easy-to-use, quality made, various audio output options are great switching and the built-in speaker gets pretty loud too, comes with all the accessories you'll ever need plus a camera & hookups for the back[up], it also allows you to select various apps from your phone to projected onto the screen such as Waze, GoogleMaps, Messenger, etc., Built-in camera was not bad either images were clear. CON: Built-in speaker sounds like an old transistor radio (which is not necessarily bad according to my mum), I don't like that you have to disconnect/reset Bluetooth connection to move from Android Auto to Super Link, its a hassle and unnecessary. RECOMMENDATION: Highly Recommended.

Great for older cars without carplay and backup cameras
Records both front and back and can see both with half screen each. Highly recommended for cars that don’t have carplay and back-up cams

Works GREAT!
I was looking for a GPS and this kept popping up. I was very glad it did! It works just like the car play in your car. It has a very stable mount and is completely waterproof. Went through very heavy rains as well as off roading on logging trails and it never shut down or lost connection. I would strongly recommend to anyone on a budget for a great device. Even works with gloves. The only negative was volume control but I used the controls on my helmet for that.

Well worth the money.
This unit is far better than I expected. Very easy to install and get running with several mounting options. The display is very clear and bright and easy to read. The cameras are are high resolution. I have the 9” screen which fits perfectly on my dash. I am using it with an iPhone 13 and it syncs perfectly using Bluetooth. The only downside I have found is the built in speaker. It is small and faces away from you thus provides poor sound quality. Most people would use the auto stereo/radio anyway. I use my iPhone and a high quality external Bluetooth speaker since my radio is not the best. I would highly recommend this unit to upgrade your older vehicle.

Works good
I was using my cell phone with google maps and youtube music with a scosche btr3 blue tooth receiver connected to the factory radio aux in jack before I bought the carpuride. The carpuride w905 makes it easy to use google maps and more with android auto. I wish you could check Gmail through android auto. I got using Google Maps and Youtube music with my phone. Now with the w905 large display Google Maps is tremendously better and even youtube music is easier to use. I originally used the carpuride cd player mount, but thought it moved around a bit. I used to use a scoshe magic mount with my phone. I took one of the carpuride mounts apart and found it's ball socket would work with the magic mount and have the carpuride attached to the base of magic mount. I used to use the W905 through the aux cable, but thought it did not sound as good as my cell phone going though blue tooth to the scoshe btr3. I saw the carpuride supports using bluetooth audio. I setup audio to be routed through bluetooth to the scosche btr3. Everything works fine just have to go through an extra step of turning on/off the scosche btr3. On the plus side my audio quality is much better with a full range of sound. W905 has a on/off switch on the top let corner which comes in handy. Unit is quick and responsive. The frontal camera works ok. I have the rear camera, but have not had a chance to get it hooked up yet. I am only giving it 4 stars because of the audio quality though the aux out of the carpuride.
