Serpents and Staircases is a cute Harry Potter themed take on the classic Shoots and Ladders. This game was easy to set-up and the unique game-play features were easy to understand and teach to others. We were able to start playing right away, which is always a plus when playing with kids! The moving stair cases made it very fun and challenging to win this game! The game is well-made and will stand up to plenty of use for your little wizards. The board game and pieces are typically sized for a board game and are sturdy. I was able to purchase this during a Prime Days sale, for about $10, which I think is a perfect price, though I'd be willing to buy it again or recommend it at its regular retail value.

He loves Harry Potter and chess and checkers. I love the heavy box it comes in so he can keep all the pieces together. It will get him away from that iPad and actually play a game. I think it will be a hit a Christmas.

We love that the pieces show you the moves they can make. It makes teaching our children easier to use.

I expected just a beginner’s board, but this set has two sides: a beginner side and a master side, both with numbers and letters on the board, which is great for learning and referencing moves. The master side looks clean and elegant, making the set feel more premium than expected. The pieces are sturdy, durable, and perfectly sized, not oversized like some collectible sets. At this price point, it’s hard to beat. The only minor downside is that the board may not be the most durable, but the design is excellent.

Cute gift idea for Harry Potter fans but Amazon put a shipping label on the box. The label ripped off the actual package.

This is great for the Harry Potter fan!

Such a fun little game! I’m obsessed with Harry Potter and so is my daughter so this was just fun to be able to share and play with her. Do read the instructions on how to play because it’s slightly different than the original shoots and ladders with the moving staircases. But the game is high quality, thick board and pieces so they don’t bend easily, and the little character area adorable.
