Bestop Traditional Bikini - Jeep '76-86 CJ7 / '81-85 Scrambler CJ8 / '87-91 Wrangler YJ (Black Crush)

Very much like the bikini top I put on my Jeep in 1982. The original Whitco top straps eventually rotted out after 40 years in the weather. No complaints with the new Bestop Traditional Bikini so far, good tight fit using newer style Bestop window rail. Snaps on the new top not used in this application with Bestop rail. Uses original rear cleats on the CJ. New cleats included with the top if you don't already have them.

Fits perfect and looks great. It will be nice to not have the sun beat down on you and also it will help if a quick shower pops up. It's well made and easy to install.

i have an 82 cj7. i just received this, but the material used to make it seems durable. the fit was less than desirable. the snaps didn't match my snaps on my windshield so i had to drill and attach new grommets, which they did provide, and the top wasn't a smooth fit over the rollbar. i wouldn't have bought it if i knew that beforehand, but it's not bad enough to send it back. overall it's not as good as my old one, but it's ok.

Classic bikini CJ top. Must have the windshield header to attach (super easy to install). Tip: get a length of vinyl tubing (hardware store) that fits length of windshield, cut a slit along entire tube and fit over top edge of CJ windshield to reduce the wear on the bikini top in this area. Also, rear footman loops install on decks right behind roll bars instead of rear corners so can have hard-top.

This works perfect for my son‘s Jeep. Makes it look much more expensive.

It fit great and looks good

So I purchased the traditional bikini top for a Jeep CJ7. Prior to purchasing, I called Bestop to confirm that it would fit with the Supertop windshield header. Well, it fits but only kind of. The bikini top has snaps (like the factory top) so it doesn't fit into the curved section of the newer header rail. There is a small split on the plastic piece (the part of the top that fits into the rail) so you can fold that part of the top out but you still need to add a snap to the windshield header. The screws they provide are too long so you'll need to drill through both parts of the channel and you'll still bottom out on the windshield frame. Even after doing all this you'll have flaps that don't tuck. Not a finished look at all. I ended up trimming the flaps so I could fold them into the channel so it looks better but it would have been nice if they just make the top fit the curved windshield channel so it would be compatible with their Supertop. They should also add hardware to the Supertop to accept the straps. You can't use the factory location unless you remove the belt rail system. Not the end of the world but not the fit I was hoping for.

It fit great. It didn’t come with the front window frame track. I had to buy it separately but both fit perfectly screw holes lined up with the pre drilled holes
