Use for lots of cooking needs and preparation.they're too big for my cupbored but they do a lot.
they're big and the finish is nice.they are well enough made.one has two small dents on the bottom inside rim.they nest well.they will be good for making my arizona bird salad!i got them though for putting cut up ingredients in.i make big batches of western, mexican, southwestern,or arizona chili, spegatti sauce, texas salad and stew.i've been mixing my arizona salad in a 11 inch plastic bowl.these are easier to clean!you also can marinade your chicken in them.i also make old style borsch and these will hold lots of cut root crops.

Very impressed, excellent quality!
My large plastic salad bowl finally cracked and will be retired. Decided to get professional stainless steel cooking bowls this time to replace. Looked at several sets of bowls made in China. Poor quality, black streaks, rust, sharp edges, poor fitting lids, not large enough, and step down to small sizes much too quickly. Found these large OCS Parts stainless steel bowls made in India. Thet don't have sets so you need to order seperately. I ordered double 8, 5, and 3 quart bowls. They nest perfectly and are plenty large. Excellent quality with none of the issues from China. I have already used them several times and am very satisfied. Thickness, appearence, and value are supurb!

Great mixing bowls
Exactly what I wanted. Love how lightweight it is, the large size so I can easily double recipes if needed, and how easy to clean it is. Don't have to worry about glass breaking and easy to handle even when full. Attractive enough to serve salads.

These are Large
Seem to be ok. A little thin on material, especially on bottom where there's some buckling/warping on heavy bread dough/kneading. But otherwise these are ok and will workout just fine. Nice and large which are useful for other tasks. Needed some large bowls and two stainless steel for this price is much better than plastic. Shipping ok with no dents or damage.

Perfect for what we wanted them for especially for the price
Now that we have been using these balls for a while, we are comfortable leaving a review. We have used them for me Processing several times now. They seem to be holding up well. Even though they are a lighter material they are perfect for what we use them for. Included will be an image of what they look like after being used continuously since purchase.

Numerous issues: NOT Professional Grade - Scratches - Flexes - "Mirror" finish is terrible
ORIGINAL INITIAL REVIEW; They arrived fine, despite the fact that there was very little padding in a very big box, and evidence the box had been dropped at some point. They are very light-weight - the two together weigh less than the single plastic bowl of exactly the same size i was replacing. This obviously means they aren't adding a lot of weight, so you don't need a lot of strength to lift and maneuver the bowl. But it also raises a question about durability - with use, will they dent, scratch, or deform? Only time will tell that, which is why i initially gave them only 4 stars. UPDATE: I DO NOT RECOMMEND! They're on their way back!!! After thoroughly washing the bowls, i used them. Until then, i hadn't noticed that the "mirror" finish, which is apparently either a film or final coating, was missing in several places on the inside of one bowl and both the inside and the outside of the other. Not big places, but i couldn't "unsee" them. I didn't think that would cause an issue, so i continued using them. While mixing a moderately heavy dough, i could feel the bowl flexing - this doesn't happen with "Professional Grade" equipment. The mirror finish was extremely slippery, and it was actually quite hard to turn the dough - it just wanted to slide around. When i finished, i noticed that the fingers on the hand with which i had been holding the bowl were dark grey in exactly the places that had been touching the outside of the bowl. Don't know what it was from, and probably don't want to know! I had tried a metal mixing spoon when i couldn't mix the dough with a wooden one. There were scratches in the mirror finish. I saw nothing that said you couldn't use metal utensils with these bowls! I was so concerned about what the bowls might have put into the dough that i threw it out! Perhaps i got the only two duds this company has ever made, and they just happened to get packaged together, but i really don't think so!! On use, i lowered my review to 1 star, and that's only because i couldn't give them a negative number of stars!
