I bought these crutches because the traditional crutches were rubbing my armpits, causing them to get raw and hurt. These crutches were a lifesaver from day one. They are lightweight and fit your fore arms very well. the height is adjustable for ease of use for small or tall people. Great product if you need crutches.

Also, the padding is not thick enough to provide much comfort! I think someone at the vendor’s business read a previous review about how the sharp corners of the velcro poke into your hands so they had someone cut the “excess” off resulting in velcro straps that are now too short to meet and hold (this is an issue for one set of straps per each crutch handle for SOME brands of crutches, like mine). The second set of straps (per crutch handle) just barely overlaps enough to at least hold the padding on. The third set of straps (that goes around the cane itself) does meet and overlap well. The result of the alterations is that Amazon has got this listing for cane handle “padding” as an extra purchase inside the listing of a cane that it won’t fit!! I believe that if they had instead rounded the corner of each strap instead that would have solved the poking problem of the velcro. We would perhaps have seen the rounded edges and if we decided to trim the length of the strap (if the excess off if it bothered us) we could have afterwards rounded the corners ourselves. However rounding the corners is more work than just making one straight snip per strap, so that might be why they snipped things too short instead! In the end these handle pads don’t do the job of providing comfort UNLESS some foam padding gets added under them. Also they shift around with use. Maybe the Velcro strap could be lengthened with more Velcro (since it will stick to itself that might be enough to hold, if not one could sew or glue). I hate having to return things so might try this myself.

These forearm crutches are not the cheapest but they are well made easy to put together and as comfortable as you can get in a forearm crutch. With ten different height adjustments they will fit a large portion of the populace. The maker also produces cushions in three colors, Black, Pink and Blue, that fit these crutches exactly . So if you need a crutch that can take the weight and is easy to put together and comfortable to use then these are the crutches for you.
