Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut
This review will mainly be about the raw cut included with the 4K, along with the bonus features. I opted the buy the standard 4K release instead of the steel book. Personally, I am not a fan of steel books and find them to be flimsy most of the time, but of course I can't speak to this release. The movie itself is great, and I highly recommend it if you have not seen it yet!For film nerds like myself, it's no secret that there has been a real lack of bonus features for new releases. I have mostly opted to wait for price drops on new releases because of the lack of bonus features (that, and the high cost). When I heard about the raw cut being included, I knew this would be a day one buy for me. Happy to report that the raw cut is everything I hoped it would be! It is amazing to see how this film came together. To see how well they were able to capture the performances of the actors, the mix of practical and visual effects, and just how much work really goes into creating a film like this. There are many scenes in this movie that you would have no idea were full CG! Shoutout to Weta for the amazing VFX work. The commentary track is also great. Great insight, and always cool to hear the passion the filmmakers have for the films they create. Other bonus features include a 25 minute behind the scenes documentary and deleted scenes, which are also great additions! The biggest bummer is that the standard theatrical release is not included on the blu-ray, and is only on the 4k disc. Not so much of a problem for me as I have a 4k player, but a bummer for those who may not have made that upgrade yet. I'm sure this decision was made in part due to the limitations of physical media and not wanting to include a third disc. It is worth the trade off in my mind, but others may feel differently. It is also a bummer the raw cut is not included with the standard blu-ray release.Overall, I hope studios take notes and start putting more effort into the bonus features. With most new films being available on streaming, features like this are a great incentive to keep buying physical media!

This movie holds up without watching the rest in the series.
I've been surprised by how much I've enjoyed all of the most recent Planet of the Apes movies but this one more than the others. How naturally the characters moved and reacted took me back to my zookeeper days. The people who put this together caught the right details and played out the story well. It was a truly satisfying watch.

So so
I went into this movie not expecting that much to be honest and I was right because for this movie was just not good it was so so and to me it felt more like a fourth movie to the 2011 reboot movie series trilogy felt like they should've made it about Caesar's kids would've been a better story to go with but others may disagree this is my opinion

Fully enjoyable!
I had originally bought the slip case version from a local retailer but since the Steelbook was still available on here I decided to get it instead and returned the other copy. I’ve only recently become infatuated by Steelbooks. The film itself was surprising. I watched it first on Disney +/Hulu. When it first started off I kept thinking it was going to be like a standard apes genre film but it was different enough to really keep me interested. The quality of the disc itself far surpassed the streamed version. So happy to have been able to get it!

Kingdom of the planet of the apes blu-ray fgnj September 2024.
I thought kingdom of the planet of the apes on blu-ray was good movie.it doesn't matter not having it on 4k disk even though there's a extended version on 4k disk.picture still looks great an sound was great as well.would recommend it to own.have the rest of the planet of the apes movies on 4k accept the first version of the planet of the apes with Charlton Heston an Roddy McDowall have those on DVD.use to have that movie collection on blu-ray but the disk got defective an had to own them on DVD.at least I have the booklet for the movie set.was enjoyable to watch on bluray.

What a wonderful film!
On top of this movie just being flat-out fun and thought provoking, the tin is nice too look at and came in good condition. The x-ray cut of this movie alone is worth the price if you like behind the scenes stuff like I do. I hope this becomes a trend with mocap movies moving forward.

Nice Steelbook
If you like the POTA series then this one will not disappoint. The art on the steelbook is awesome and inside are is just as cool.I collect steelbooks and they are easy damaged in shipment. I would recommend buying a few things along with the steelbook so it all ships in a box together. If not, Amazon will ship in a padded envelope and I've received them dented up on numerous occasions. If I order other stuff and it all comes in a cardboard box, I've never had one damaged that way.
