Purchased these to go with other items they are just what I was looking for good value for money

These are good quality cards and perfect for any fan of the show. The print is good and they are a joy to play with. Overall these would make a nice gift for any occasion and can recommend them if you are after some like them.

These are good quality card. They feel thick and strong. As you would expect from Waddingtons Number 1. The print is top quality. The style is very fitting for the theme. The are Matt finish which has more friction. This means they don’t slide and smoothly. So shuffling and dealing card would feel so smooth. For the price, it’s pretty much what I expect. Still happy with them.

It's always worth having at least one pack of playing cards kicking about and I find that they are a must have to throw in your luggage when going on a trip - even if it's an overnight stay. So many ways you can pass the time with them even if you are alone. Waddington are a particularly respected brand and you just know the quality will be there. These cards are lovely and smooth and do not stick together. The coating over the board does have a little bit of glare but, on the whole, unless in really bright light they are easy to read. The print is nice and clean and the pip cards are especially clear with the pips printed nice and large. The AKQJ all feature characters from the drama series the cards are merchandise for - the same print and characters are used for each suit. Overall, good basic playing card set that covers all bases.

This is my first set of cards from House of the Dragons, therefore I won't experience duplicated cards from the previous series as every single card is new to me. The deck of cards is made in high quality and I am expecting it to last long for multiple plays. The characters on cards are well printed and I am quite happy with the wide selection of characters I got from this set. The colour scheme is more on the dark side, I have no issue reading them but some of the older family members of mine find it hard to see. Our family finds it fun to do family games with it. Price is reasonable.

Whilst waiting for these to arrive, I amused myself by trying to guess which characters from the fantasy drama would be on the "Royalty" or "picture cards". Logically, I expected a different house or faction on each suit, and wondered if there were too few or too many characters to do this properly, so that some major characters would be missing, or minor characters pressed in to make up the numbers. The reality is much less interesting, as all four suits are identical, and feature: Rhaenyra Targaryen as the Ace, Daemon Targaryen as the Jack or Knave, Alicent Hightower as the Queen, and Viserys Targaryen as the King. Not only that, but the exact same pictures of the same four characters in every suit. Not even different outfits or attitudes to lend a bit of variety. The whole deck uses just FOUR pictures of HoTD characters, re-used x 4. As well as this, the colour scheme of the deck is very dark, so neither the "picture" cards nor the pips on the "number" cards really stand out. Yes, I know it's a dark show in many ways, and an attempt has clearly been made to reflect this, but does every card really need to be so gloomy and hard to read? Incidentally, there's nothing about the cards that is even remotely adult-rated, so it looks as if the "18+" designation is simply inherited from the show by default, in case minors might be tempted to watch. Either that, or it has to do with rules on the promotion of gambling, but I don't see age restrictions on regular playing cards. Funnily enough, I'm being asked to select the user's age as part of this review! Why am I being asked to select 1 through 13+ when the box says 18+?

Its GOT/HOTD themed. I like all things GOT related and so when these came up I had to get my hands on them The packaging and print quality is awesome. The card quality and print is also superb too. I will be keeping these in their package as a collectors item and hope it holds and increases its value over time. The outer packaging was a little difficult to open and so was damaged in the process of opening so thats not ideal but its not too bad. This pack will take pride of place on my GOT collections shelf.

Waddington’s have made a lovely playing card deck for fans of House of Dragon. The jokers have dragons’ eggs on them; the ace features Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king is Viserys Targaryen, the queen is Alicent Hightower, and the jack is Daemon Targaryen. Each of the 4 suits have the same characters; this is a shame as they could have themed them rather than just replaced a diamond with a heart. The card quality Is excellent as you expect from Waddington’s; you get the 52 playing cards and 2 jokers. They ship wrapped in plastic in a good reusable box.
