Oregon Scientific BAR800 Ultra-Thin Weather Station

Elegant design, easy to setup, good function.

I got misinformed by the manufacturers about this item so not 100% happy but it is still a good product even though it does not work as they claimed.

The slimmest and most stylish weather station clock around. And, with a radio-controlled clock guaranteeing absolute time accuracy, and an outdoor temp sensor, highly functional too.

Great looking weather station but wanted it to provide max and min readings as well but unfortunately this is not provided, hence 3 stars.

Used the unit for a week when external sensor stopped working. The unit established a signal between the external receiver immediately upon the setup stage, and worked fine for 6 days. Then the main unit stopped receiving a signal from the external sensor and did not indicate external temperature, despite showing that there is a full signal between the units. Did all re-sets, swapped the battery on external receiver, signal between the units was established within minutes but still did not transmit external temperature reading and it could not receive a time signal for the clock. Also tried different channels on the receiver, but no luck. Its such a shame, as the main unit is really smart and of a good quality, but it is an obvious fault with the external receiver. The unit is on its way back to Amazon for a refund.

I returned this Oregon weather station because of the poor display. Not very bright and had a problem seeing it normal daylight.

Little but mighty product. Does what it supposed to do and the ONLY reason it lost a star was that I would like it to be double the size and half the price but you cant have everything in life

This one replaces one we had for about 20 years. It is very clear and easy to use. Excellent.

Elegante, funzionale, presa perché misura temperatura ed umidità sia interna che esterna . Si legge abbastanza bene (dipende dall'angolo di vista), dopo oltre un mese funziona benissimo. Non misura l'andamento della pressione atmosferica ma riporta la previsione. Ha la lingua italiana. Non è economicissima, ma la qualità è migliore dei prodotti cinesi!

I use this in my Radio room. The External Sensor has the time RX Signal and send it down to the unit, THIS is a BIG plus here where the Main unit gets ZERO signal. Good for Time and Quick Reference, But I have a Full Weather Station here also..

Our little weather station is easy to read and very handy to have. The weather prediction is, I assume, based on rising or dropping barometric pressure and as such not quite always on the mark as a "Prediction" but great to have anyway. I would buy it again. RRC

I purchased this item because I liked the sleek look of it. I assembled it and placed the outdoor sensor outside and this unit failed to accurately display the outdoor temperature....being off by more than 25 degrees. I also found the magnetic base to be cheap and awkward as well. Sent it back and ordered the Oregon Scientific BAR388HGA wireless weather station in black and it's worked like a dream.
