Excellent Case for my Yamaha C40ii Classical Guitar
I bought this Gator 4G case for Classical Guitars and it is a perfect fit for my Yamaha C40ii Classical guitar. It fits snug like a glove. That extra thick 20mm padding really does make a difference. This thing stands up on its own almost like a hybrid of a soft gig bag and a hard case. Great stitching and workmanship on this bag. Excellent product at a great price.

High quality, high density foam bag
High quality bag. Dense foam insulation. Best option between soft bag and hard case.

A good case for the average home guitarist
I haven't had this for very long, and I don't transport my guitar often, so take this review with a grain of salt. I was assembling a new guitar (Squier Telecaster Paranormal body, and a Squier Telecaster Affinity neck), and wanted something reasonably inexpensive. This seemed to be a better value than the Fender equivalent given the quality. The perimeter padding seems more substantial, the zippers are great quality, and most importantly, it fits a Jazzmaster-sized guitar with about an inch to spare at the top. Perfect for just keeping it protected at home, and for the occasional trip for guitar lessons. I wouldn't want to gig with this case (ironically), or any other sort of frequent traveling.

*Bass option* Easily the best soft case for the money. Probably big enough for almost any electric bass.
This is for the "Bass" option. -I own a full scale boutique style 5 string bass guitar(24 frets, 35" scale), and this case fits it perfect. I would venture to say that there are very few electric basses that would not fit in this case. -Feels tough and well constructed. Has extra layers of padding that make it unusually well padded for a soft case, while still being easier to haul around than a hard case. The extra padding at the bottom is a nice touch. -Has a single zip-up pocket on the front, with a netted pouch inside it. The size is reasonable. It would fit a couple small textbooks, a tuner, etc. Nothing crazy, but good for a soft case. Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: -First, the extra padding at the bottom seems to be made of that really soft microfiber stuff. I wish the entire inside of the case was made of that stuff, instead of the nylon. And I'd be willing to pay extra for that. -Second, the shoulder straps seem to be too low. I'm 5'9'', and I have to duck to avoid hitting the top of by bass on doorways. I've tried loosening the straps as far as they'll go, but that creates other problems. IMO the straps ought to have been placed higher on the case, which is a bummer because I was looking forward to being able to backpack my bass around. I still can, of course, but I have to watch out. Not a deal-breaker for me, but worth mentioning. Also this could be a normal problem that I was just not aware of until now. Overall this is a really good case in the realm of soft cases. It raises the bar, while retaining the classic advantages of a soft case(lightweight, takes up less room, etc.) as compared to a hard case.

Quality case but a snug fit for Breedlove Concertina
Snug fit for a Breedove Concertina - I wanted a quality Soft case for my Breedlove Concertina that takes up as little space as possible, while still providing good protection. This Gator bag is going to work great. While it fits snugly it is just a little tight when you zip past the bottom of the lower bout it does not over stress the Gator case.

it's in my book a heck of a good deal too at 50 bucks
Had been looking for awhile for something to bring to/from rehearsal that wouldn't be a nailbiter wondering whether my nicer guitars would end up battered and bruised. Was actually surprised there weren't more expensive and clearly "high end" options available online (having sorted by price high-to-low). I wasn't looking for a cheap compromise. As a sometimes tough to please consumer, THRILLED to say this case is all that! Very heavy duty, well padded not only on top/bottom, but sides as well. Zippers are very heavy duty, and compartment area has multiple pockets and mesh dividers. Conclusion: Not only very well made, it's in my book a heck of a good deal too at 50 bucks. Legitimate protection for your axe, and wears like a backpack - way easier than dragging hard cases around. Buy this - you won't be disappointed!

Nice Bag!
Very good construction. Padding is sufficient. Zippers operate smoothly. Adequate accessory storage. I got this for taking a guitar on road trips. It’s a lot less bulky than a hard shell case but provides protection against dings, etc. Received very quickly with good packaging. Zipper tab pick holder is a unique clever feature. I doubt I will ever carry it on my back but the straps are there if ever needed. Looks sharp and very professional. Good value at this price.

Awesome quality, just didn’t fit my Cordoba concert uke
Really great quality gig bag with thick padding and sturdy zippers. Thoroughly impressed. However, unfortunately it didn’t fit my Cordoba 15CFM concert ukulele — the bag was not “deep” enough front to back, making for a too-tight fit when zipped. It put too much pressure on the bridge and strings for my comfort. Since I was already in the market for a $45+ padded gig bag, I decided to return this one and go for Cordoba’s own proprietary gig bag. I would have gladly bought the tenor uke size in this Gator bag — the quality is definitely there — but unfortunately that size wasn’t available/in stock at the time I needed it. I recommend you check the measurements to make sure your uke will fit. The interior dimensions and measurements given are the MAXIMUM size instrument that will fit comfortably inside this gig bag. If your uke is pushing the limits, go for the next bigger size. Still, this is an excellent bag, and I don’t think it deserves any stars off just because my uke didn’t fit. I would definitely consider this bag again if I get another uke that would fit.
