The value for the dollar is incredible. They pack a lot of technology and fun in an inexpensive kit. Very impressed. The kit has very good instructions and visual depictions. The frame of car is wood and is die cut so you just push it out. You can sand the edges if you want but it’s not required. You can even stain it or paint it but that’s up to you and your child. This kit gives a child insight into the making of a remote controlled vehicle.

Great project but hard! My son is 13 and he had help from his 19 year old cousin who is a college student and super smart - and he said it was a challenge 😜…fun for sure though.

Great kit! Required a little bit of alignment fussing to get steering and drive motor functioning smoothly. Remote works well. Love that it uses standard AA cells which can be replaced instantly when drained! Good value and just-right difficulty for tweens and teens.

I bought this for a 9 year old who is very good a building sets. We've done several from Smartivity, build your own pinball machine and Kiwi projects. We found this one more difficult. The front tires would not fit on the metal rod. We had to hammer them in. The 7mm screws you screw into no holes, its a very frustrating experience. Not what I was going for. The product did work in the end. We found the directions lacking and it was harder to assemble than expected (the force it took to get some things on needed adult strength). I purchased this in November and clearly from other reviews, I am in the minority.
