They hurt your feet because theybare too narrow. Modified them so they would stay on. Spikes are too small and dangerous when climbing.

The bar that your foot sits on could be a little wider, and maybe have some rubber coating on it for comfort, but it is functional. The one thing holding these up from being great is the fact that the spikes are a little too short. They are functional, but do not instill the highest confidence when this product is used to climb trees/poles. I would advise always using a safety harness and anchor system when using these.
