I have medium brown hair and when my roots start to grow in, I have a decent amount of gray hairs. Normally every three to four weeks, I go to the salon for a root touch up. Well, the last time I went, I was just not happy with the way my hair looked. So, I tried to lighten my hair a little with a common brand of box dye. The results were terrible, none of the grays were covered and my roots were much lighter than the rest of my hair, it really looked horrible. I waited about 2 to 3 weeks and then purchased this AGEbeautiful dye and a 20 volume developer. I had very little hopes on how my hair would end up! I mixed everything up and did my roots first then the rest of my hair, I waited the amount of time per the instructions, and then rinsed everything out. I could not believe the results! It was AMAZING. My hair was all one color and ALL of grays were completely covered! Not only did it look great, it literally looks like I sat in the salon for hours, and my hair looks silky and vibrant! The color is beautiful. I plan to use this to touch up my roots going forward and skip the salon unless I need a haircut. Trust me, purchase this and the 20 volume, you will not be dissapointed, it is not cheap box dye, it is definitely salon grade formula and it was the best decision I made. I will be a customer for life! Review: Actually Covers All Stubborn Gray, Doesn’t Pull Red! - I mixed 6A and 5NN together, hoping for the sweet spot of completely cool undertones and full gray coverage, and it achieved both! No previous box/kit has been able to do this, and I’ve been exhausted by “cool” and “ash” brunette colors that inexplicably pull red and/or leave grays unpigmented. While this combo did come out darker than my ideal light-medium ultra cool ash brown, I had anticipated as much (per the product notes), and next time will experiment with the just #6 browns. My hair is very long (2 inches below my waist) so I used both full tubes and 4oz of the branded 20v developer. I processed for 45 mins on 2nd day clean hair with no post-shampoo/conditioner product. Definitely don’t use this on a freshly cleaned scalp or you’ll get itchy/stingy as this is an ammonia based product. The ammonia vapors are very strong at first, so be prepared—it’s not a lightweight DIY color. (Natural/ammonia free dyes have failed to cover my grays no matter the brand or formula.) I will say that despite the formulation, I didn’t find it to be conditioning, which I mention for anyone who factors that in. HOWEVER, it’s a non-factor for me; I have numerous beloved conditioning products to do that job. All I want out of hair color is total gray coverage and true-tone pigment payoff, and this delivers both in spades. I’m glad I finally found a product that does what I need, and will be exclusively using this brand from now on.

Hair color
Very very good, doesn't stain your skin, doesn't fade very fast and keeps color locked in. Doesn't bleed onto pillows or towels

Amazing Anti-Age Hair Dye! Highly Recommend
I was honestly impressed with this anti-age hair dye. The formula is gentle, nourishing, and doesn’t burn or irritate the scalp like many others I’ve tried. What I loved the most is how soft, shiny, and youthful my hair looks after using it. It covers gray hairs perfectly and the color looks natural, vibrant, and long-lasting. My hair also feels stronger and healthier, almost like a deep-conditioning treatment was included. The texture improved, the frizz reduced, and it added a beautiful glow. If you’re looking for a hair dye that not only gives great color but also helps your hair look younger and revitalized, this one is definitely worth it!

Reds are beautiful but accuracy is a problem.
My natural color is a very, very light strawberry/reddish blonde, often mistaken for blonde or red, depending on lighting. I've been coloring for a couple of years. Based on my roots, I think I'm starting to grey. Blue eyes, cool fair skin, some freckles. The following are different shades that I've tried and my experience. 7RC - This is where my journey began. After an unfortunate temporary blue color that wasn't fully washing out, and an even more unfortunate interaction with Nice n Easy red, I was advised to use Schwarzkopf bond enforcing color remover, followed by a good quality level 7 red. This was quite pretty and true to the box on day one. Being new to red hair color, I took a hot shower on day two or three and my hair faded to orange. It was the first time I colored after using the color remover, so I hadn't built up a good base red, that might account for the dramatic change. I used 7RC for a few months and the color became darker and more saturated, a little better on the fading front (with a lot of care), but I always felt like a clown, it was just too red, too vibrant. 6RC - So I started mixing 7RC and 6RC 50/50 and that toned down the clown red, but it still was too vibrant. So then I did strictly 6RC for a year or more. It always came out crazy dark, like mahogany, reddish dark brown, but I could wash using normal temperature water and it would gradually fade to the prettiest copper. This was the color where I got compliments almost daily, whether it was dark or faded. Eventually I grew tiredof the dark and wanted to achieve that pretty copper on day one, not three weeks in 😄 8RC - So I used the color remover on my 6RC hair and used 8 RC color for a few months. It was coppery, it looked more natural and closer to the color on the box. It just wasn't very flattering on my cool, fair skin that flushes red easily. Much like my natural color, it also looked very different depending on lighting, and could look too vibrant at times. 7NRG - Around this time I saw the neutral reds for the first time. I thought this might be more flattering with my cool skin and eyes. It came out crazy dark, darker than 6RC, which comes out crazy dark. My hair looked dark brown. I had to be in the sun to show red, and it is much more resistant to fadng than the RC colors, though it has faded a bit, I still don't like how dark red/blackish brown the lengths are. I also don't love the condition my hair is in. Because of how much red fades, you have to recolor the lengths every month too. My wavy curls are now just sad waves, my once thick healthy hair feels dry and thin. Ive been using K18 a few times a month and heavily moisturizing products, and occasionally a bit of protein. I don't use the hair dryer too often. Now, I am aging, and I do have health conditions and medications that couldbe a factor, but I think that permanent color every month (my hair grows fast) may be adding to my problems. Currently trying to figure out where to go from here. I'm experimenting with Keracolor Clenditioner in Autumn, not sure it's sticking to my roots though... I have been very happy with Age Beautiful coverage. Reds are difficult and require a ton of upkeep, it's a known problem. 😕

Good hair dye
Good hair dye, doesn't dry or damage my hair at all. The directions are clear and very easy to use. My color last for 25 to 30 days and covers all grey.

overpriced... results were no better than with the $8 tube of hair color that i get at the pharmacy.

Ive been dying my hair for 30 years noth at home/salon. The older you get the harder it is to cover grey hair + the frequency gets shorter + shorter between dyes. Discovering Age Beautiful Hair Dye has been fantastic. OMG!! Permanent Hair Colour that stays its rich deep colour + doesnt wash out down the drain. doesn't start to fade after 1 week + lasts (me - might be different for ea user) 4-5 weeks depending on how much regrowth you are ok with. I have mid-long hair + got x3 "dyes" from 2 tubes. just ordered 3 more tunes. THE BEST DIY Hair Dye EVER. Thank You xx
