I love this thing, it's tiny!
This is exactly what I was hoping to find. I already owned a stick rope tire plug kit. It's a really high quality set of tools that will last a lifetime and it comes in a nice plastic hard case. But I have two problems with it. 1.) The plastic case is really nice but also really big. So, it resides under the floor of my SUV in the spare tire compartment. That makes it hard to get at if I have cargo in the back. 2.) I live in New England and I do a lot of ski trips in winter. The sticky ropes lose their pliability and ability to seal in single digit weather. To use them effectively, you have to spend 10 minutes heating them up in from of the car's heater vents. And then you've got a couple of minutes to get the tire plugged before it hardens up again. So, I was looking for a much smaller solution that I could carry in my emergency tool bag in the cargo area of my SUV along with my impact wrench, sockets, extensions, wheel chocks, a 2 ton jack, air compressor, and torque wrench. That way everything is accessible in one bag I can throw in any vehicle or carry to another vehicle to assist as needed. I just received this Stop & Go plug kit today and it's even smaller than I was hoping for. It basically fits in the palm of my hand. It's also built very well. The components are all nicely machined steel parts. The 15 rubber plugs are super soft and squishy as well as pre-coated with a lubricant. I expect these to perform much better in cold weather but if I have to heat them up they should take much less time as they are so small. The process is really no more complex than the sticky rope repair. You still have to remove the object embedded in the tire. You still have to ream out the hole. And you still need to trim the plug to finish off the repair. The only real difference is inserting the rope or plug. This thing does everything I wanted. It's small and light enough to carry in my emergency tool bag. It's pretty easy to use. And I think it will do well repairing a tire at 80 deg F or 8 deg F. I'll still carry the sticky rope kit under the cargo floor of my SUV but this is the one that will be my go to in my tool bag. I'm also a motorcycle owner and this is also the one that will go with me on my bike. It is more than small enough to carry in a small backpack. Highly recommended and very cool!

Cool product good concept
Haven't had to use it yet. Seems like it'll work great. You will have to replace the tire once you find civilization.

If you ride a motorcycle, you should be carrying this
This kit, along with the inflator kit, has save our butts on several long-distance motorcycle trips. We were able to plug up flats, reinflate, and get back on the road in about 10 minutes. In all three cases, the plug held for the duration of the trip and allowing the rider to permanently the fix the tire when they got home. This kit has everything you need to fix a puncture in a tubeless tire, and has a very understandable laminated instruction sheet included, so its easy to figure out what you're doing. If you ride, you should have this.

Impressive tool, so-so results.
I bought this tool to plug a nail hole in the rear tire on my motorcycle. The entire process was easy and almost worked just as advertised. Though I hoped the plug would be a permanent fix, unfortunately, my tire is still leaking air at a rate fast enough to make it go flat again in a day. It will hold air long enough to get to the tire shop and it's certainly better than the old style plugs but I will ultimately need a new tire. I was very impressed with the tool itself - it's much better than anything out there - but it will most likely be a temporary fix in many situations.

Stop & Go Tire Repair Kit
Never had a flat on any of motorcycles until a few weeks ago when I picked up a very small nail which caused a slow leak. Took my bike down to the shop and they charged me $15 to insert a sticky rope type plug in the tire, they said it works sometimes and doesn't at other times. I noticed their little rope kit was a $4 tire repair kit I could have bought at WalMart. I hated that they had to make larger hole in the tire in order to fit the sticky rope into it. They left the excess sticking out (didn't cut it off) and said it would wear off by the time I drove it a few miles. It took them all of about 4 minutes to repair and then I drove the bike home. By the time I made it to my home (10 miles away) the plug not only wore off but appeared to be pulled out and the tire was leaking again but much faster since it had a larger hole now. I called them back and told them their plug didn't work and they said bring it back and they would try another plug, I said no thanks! I remember years earlier having a car tire fixed with a plug that was made of rubber and opened up like an umbrella once inserted into the tire, so I went online and searched Amazon for such a repair kit. Found this kit with the C02 canisters and ordered two of them, one for my motorcycle as well as one for my car which has no spare also. Received the kit a week later and read the instructions, it's very important to read the instructions before repairing the tire. The rubber plugs come lubricated with some kind of silicon lubricant but you may want to add a little lubricant to the puncture as well once you have cleaned it and also to the injector nozzle that the plug squeezes through. You are actually forcing a 1/4 inch rubber plug through a nozzle head that is only about 3/16 in diameter and if not lubricated well, is very hard to squeeze through with the wrench supplied in the kit. You also must make sure the nozzle is pushed all the way into the tire before inserting the plug and then pulling the nozzle out. Once the head of the plug has opened up on the inside of the tire and you pull the nozzle out, there is no way that hole can leak because of the tightness of the hole around the rubber plug as well as the umbrella head of the plug completely covering the hole on the inside of the tire. The last important step after the insertion tool is removed is to grab the stem of the plug that is sticking out of the tire with a pair of pliers (not supplied) and stretching (pulling) the stem about two inches, this makes sure the umbrella part of the plug is seated tight against the inside of the tire, then trim off the excess stem flush with the tire tread. I filled the tire with air and checked it over the following few days and it was perfect (no air loss). My over all opinion, the other type of repair kit using the sticky rope is absolute junk and if it works won't last because of the lousy way the hole is being plugged. The Stop & Go repair kit is superior and I believe can fix a normal puncture for as log as the tire is used, even though it also claims to be only a temporary repair. The motorcycle shop says they don't repair punctures with an inside patch as is done with car tires, so you either plug them or buy a new tire. My tire only had about 2k miles on it and plenty of tread left so I didn't want to buy a new tire. The Stop & Go kit saved the tire and I'm convinced will hold up as long as the tire is still good. If a puncture or cut in the tire is too large it might only be a temporary fix until you can make it to a shop or home and buy a new tire. One of the other reviewers stated he had to insert two plugs to fix his flat, in that case I would not trust the repair to last any further than making it home nor would I drive very fast with that kind of damage to the tire. The Stop & Go repair kit can be a life savor if caught with a flat out on the open road miles away from civilization! Highly recommended!

I purchased this to keep on my motorcycle in case I have a flat. I have not tested it, but it seems very well made. The instructions are clear. The only drawback I noticed is that the plugs are supposed to be kept clean, but their plastic bag is not the resealable kind, which would have been better once you use the kit for the first time.

Got one these kits for my motorbike after having to buy a new tyre because I used 'Tyreweld'. My son had a slow puncture on his car, found the leak with soapy water and plugged it with this kit. Its been several weeks and it still has the same pressure. Should always keep one of these with you just in case.
