Yes, it prevents toddlers from opening doors but more importantly it prevents our Great Dane from opening them as well! Great product and have them on all interior doors we don't want her in!

Works great and matched my aesthetic
I love that it comes in black and it actually works. My one year old loves opening doors and I was able to put the fixed part at the bottom. So we can choose to open the door upwards (since he hasn't figured that out yet). But when he does figure it out, we can lock that up too. Greatly priced too. I got a lot for all of our doors. Did it mention it matched my black door knobs perfectly?
