This is a great product for a refurbished laptop.
This product works great even for a refurbished system. Works like new for half the price of what this model would be as a new laptop with same specs. Fast and responsive, has AX protocol WiFi network card and 8 core processor. Very light weight and portable.

Not Tested At All Before Selling
The laptop was sold under the "Refurbished - Excellent" condition, but the unit I received has multiple faults and clearly does not meet this standard. Here is a summary of the issues I encountered immediately upon unboxing and setup: Power System Not Detected: The laptop would not power on until it was plugged in. Critically, even while it is plugged in and running, the Windows taskbar does not show the charging icon or indicate that the AC adapter is connected. Non-Functional Webcam: The webcam is not working. It was not detected during the Windows Hello setup, and subsequent tests on webcam-checking websites confirm it is non-functional. I have already confirmed the physical privacy shutter is open. Excessive Fan Noise: On the very first boot, the device's cooling fans ran at an extremely loud, high speed for about 10 minutes before quieting down. This seems excessive and abnormal for a simple startup procedure. Improper OS Setup: The desktop shortcut for Microsoft Edge was broken upon arrival, further indicating that the device was not prepared or tested properly. Given these significant hardware and software issues present right out of the box, it is clear this unit did not pass a proper quality inspection.

Perfect purchase!
Condition was EXCELLENT, almost could have passed for new! Great size, love the two-in-one, just right amount of ram and size of this hard drive. After purchasing and returning 2 Dells that died in the first two days, purchased this H-P, and wish I had just bought this one in the beginning.

Good laptop with some drawbacks, deducted stars
I like the laptop despite the bad. Turning it into tablet mode is good for scrolling through feeds, or tent mode for sleeping to some video. The 1080p resolution is nice, though 125% scaling works better than the 150% that comes by default. Then it supports Windows Hello - which is great, since the camera has IR functionality, allowing you to use your face and/or fingerprint (which is located by the right alt key). Comes with a fancy metal body, which to me is a good sign of quality. No sharp edges, key font is big and legible, though the keyboard backlight is a little weak. Oh and that Sure View actually works! Not as good as an actual privacy screen protector, but, it does a decent job. Speakers sound amazing - not tinny, not washed out. Sounds like quality desktop speakers. Second paragraph, the bad stuff: Function row works like a Macbook: Secondary functions by default. Which is dumb because it has an FN-lock toggle! Every other laptop out there, that means you're turning ON the secondary functions. Not this one. Turning on the toggle turns on an LED under the FN key that is brighter than the keyboard backlight. Super annoying. Anyway, onto the next bad thing: The hinge is weak. Typing on this thing will lead to the screen slowly tilting backward on its own until it's flat... Not good! Also my unit came with nasty scuffs and scratches on the hinges. Excellent condition... right. At least the screen isn't scratched and the keys aren't weathered. Will say that the touch screen works great, but is a smudge magnet, so keep a microfiber cloth around. Linux works out of the box, Kubuntu, EndeavourOS, Fedora all worked. Camera works, keyboard functions (Except F12 since that needs a program from HP), wifi, bluetooth, audio... it's all there. Only thing you won't get is fprintd support, despite the reader being three years old at least. Howdy can enable the IR camera for a similar function to Windows Hello but, it requires some terminal spell casting that quite frankly is a pain when it works out of the box with Windows. Battery on mine says it has only had one charge cycle - and has a serial that suggests it was made in 2021. That's kinda sus - checked via BIOS and Command Prompt (powercfg). Lasts about five hours going from 100% to 20%. Had Youtube Music in the background during web browsing for that. Might get a new battery down the line. AFAIK from what teardown videos show, the battery isn't stuck on with adhesive. Not gonna open it up due to warranty concerns. Ultimately deducted two stars for the weak hinge and scuffed exterior of said hinges Wondering if it was dropped...

Not working, no battery I guess
1) Can’t turn on without being plugged. Failed as a portable. 2) Takes forever to turn on (10-20 minutes): bad for students, imagine the stress during exam days when your computer keeps forever to turn on. 3) Stuck there. (The shown in the picture) Finally on to only be stuck there. Plus they say the refund will only start in about 30 days after they receive the item back. I really need it for my studies and now I have to wait for them to get another one. I’m actually done buying computer on Amazon, this is literally the third time I got a defective one after 2 consecutive replacements. Grrrr
