Can this be used on non color treated hair to liven up natural color?
Would this make my "dirty strawberry blonde" hair closer to a lighter "strawberry blonde"?
Does this wash completely out? Is it truly temporary, no ammonia etc.
I am looking to cover the bit of white hair that my naturally red/strawberry blonde hair is turning. Will this work? What about a conditioner?

Redhead Returned

Don’t you just love when products work as advertised?! Over the last 15 years, my red hair has faded and I’ve been so sad when people say they don’t think of me as a redhead, when I still do. After debating several products and salon options, I decided to give this a try (Liquid Copper) and am SO glad I did. After a double wash (lather, leave on for 3 mins, rinse, repeat) the results were perfection. Here are my before and after photos, as well as a photo of extensions I bought 15 years ago (on the left) next to my “new” hair (on the right - they matched when I bought them and now they do again. I couldn’t be happier!

Watercolors Shampoo Perfect Shade

I chose the shade named Sand. This was perfect for my hair color. Love the results.

Does the job but messy

This does a good job of keeping my color richer between hair appointments. It is VERY watery though which makes this product a bit messy and difficult to work with.

Best color-depositing shampoo I've tried

I've tried a LOT of color depositing shampoos over the years, and I always come back to this one. I started using this years ago, but suddenly the consistency seemed to change; it was very thin & watery, so I began trying other brands. However, I was never very happy with any of them, so I thought I'd try this one again; and the price had gone down, which was a bonus! Thankfully, the formulation seems to have gone back to what it was--it's much thicker now and easier to use.I have natural Auburn hair which is fading as I get older. I do color my hair, but red dyes are notorious for not lasting long, so it helps to use a color-depositing shampoo in-between coloring. This shampoo adds a nice bit of color: Not too much, but enough to hide a lot of my fading color. After much experimentation, I found the 'Wet Brick' color works best for me -- it gives me warm red tones, rather than some of the other red colors that tend towards cool/burgandy type tones. I've also used the Warm Spice color, but by itself it isn't quite dark enough. I find it works best to mix that with a red color to get the best results. However, the Wet Brick color is perfect for me right now.Other brands I've tried just didn't work as well: The results were either WAY too dark/bright or gave me barely any color at all. Plus they were quite expensive as well. But the Watercolors line does well for me at a great price too.

Loved it.

I have seen some reviewers state they didn't see any difference in their hair color...My hair is naturally brunette, probably around a 5, Ash Brown. I recently dyed it red, and wanted to preserve my color since I paid about 200 for it at a salon. A lot of color quality comes from the source and type of color, as well as your basic hair type anyways...I have fine, naturally curly hair... It is somewhat porous, and this leads to leaching of color and products normally, which is why I bought this shampoo. From my understanding, after my single process hair color at the salon, this would help to maintain my ORIGINAL color (the red dye I paid 200 for)... and it has! It's been a few months and the red stayed! My roots have grown out to about an inch now (it grows so fast...) and I can definitely see where I stopped using this because of that...Bottom line, this worked wonderfully! Some tips though:It looks like blood coming out of the bottle. I played a really mean prank on my brother... and stained my bathtub. Do try and be careful where you get this, some surfaces, like porcelain, might be susceptible to staining. I noticed if I rinsed it off right after my shower and made sure my tub didn't have any left to sit on it, it didn't stain. Just be careful.Don't try and use this like a hair dye, ESPECIALLY if you have darker hair. My hair takes it pretty well, but again I have fine, porous hair... If you have hair that is less porous, you might want to just buck up and go pay for a real dye job and use this as maintenance.DO use this to help keep color over a period of time. I do plan to go ahead and go back to my natural brown, maybe buy this shampoo a shade darker and see if it does anything for me... But again, I got lucky and have the "right" hair type for this product. It works if you are careful and know what you are doing!!!
