It's made of plastic. But fit and finish is great. Not as heavy as OEM's. Color matches OEM's perfectly.

Most of these are a cover that goes over the key. Even the slim ones make the key more bulky. With this, you actually replace the current shell with a new one. It fits perfectly. I like to keep my original items pristine so I just save the original casing if I ever sell my 911. This is literally one of the most satisfying products I have ever purchased so far as exceeding expectations.

Quality is OK, but the Porsche key signal seems very finicky and sensitive to lots of interference.I would stick with the original key cover.

Pros:* Comes in a nice [but unnecessary] presentation tin. I suppose it would be good if giving as a gift to someone.* Simple installation, I found it easy to follow the video on the Amazon page.* Does the job.Cons:* Plastic quality doesn't feel anything like the original Porsche shell.* The fitting is not perfect, on mine you can see gaps. I had to remove the outer white shell pieces because the gaps were too much. I put on the original black Porsche outer shell, leaving on the center white piece which I like. You can see the gaps in the photo. (yes I am absolutely sure I installed correctly)Overall: I thought I'd give this a go rather than spending $100+ to get it from Porsche. Now I will be spending the $100 from Porsche, so my risk didn't pay off. This isn't a terrible product, it's just not as perfect as I'd hoped.

Have 2020 911 (992) Came in small tin case. The case was dented so I was a little concerned it may be damaged, but everything was OK inside. Very easy to install. Took 30 seconds. (watch battery replacement video for Porsche key fob on YouTube before you attempt) snapped tightly in place. Decided not to replace centerpiece for contrast. Fit is 95%, not quite perfect but good enough, worth it based on cost. Others were 2/3x as much. Will order a few others.
