good system, lots of emulators
Great system. It does have 30k games. 10/page, so if you take a minute to look at each page (6 seconds/title), it would take you FIFTY HOURS just to look at all the games. But that's silly: too long. You don't need to stare at each title for 6 seconds. So let's say 10 seconds/page, which means you look at a new title each second. 6 pages a minute is 500 minutes, which is still more than 8 hours, just SCANNING quickly. (somebody check my math) If you actually select a game, it takes about/at least 10 seconds to load.So there is likely no way you will ever come close to trying every game on this console. Moreover, there are so many copies of games. Look how many King of Fighters versions there on page 8! If I recall correctly, it starts with King of Fighters, so there's pages and pages of just that game. Also, there are a bunch of Japanese language games you've never heard of and probably aren't interested in playing. Some of them you won't be able to play unless you can read Japanese (because you have to answer questions). So the best way to use this game is to look up games you want to play. It has a bunch, with a bunch of different emulators.I have some favorites Iike to check: Joust. Although this system has MAME and arcade games, the only joust version it has are versions ported to consoles. You can see the one I selected is the Nintendo version. The physics are pretty close, but it doesn't have the arcade sounds and clarity, which with a game like this, is probably vital. It has Shadowrun and Shadowgate, which is a big plus for me. It even has Prince of Persia! Another must. You can see that it only has Gauntlet 2, and even though it says "FREE PLAY," I think that's because it is a ported console game and not the arcade version. I did try a MAME game and the select button gives you coins.Every game I tried worked except that the arcade version of Rampart was taking so long I assumed it froze and backed out. I think if I'd waited it would have worked...but that game normally requires a trackball, so not sure it would have played right anyway.Good menu with plenty of options to customize your game, including the Input/Output map/checker.The controls to select a game, start the game, select from a search, weren't always the intuitive and game controls once you got in the game weren't always the same (to be expected with different systems being emulated). Also, the first game that arrived was dead. I plugged it in and got no response. I contacted the company and they sent another one. I used the new cord on both the new and old console, and it worked for both. So: good customer service.Favoriting system so you can more easily play the games you find and like works pretty well. Search function is good.I like that it has an integral speaker with a volume button.RECOMMENDED If you want a plug-and-play retro game system with some limitations.

Watch out for these video game systems. You get far less than what you pay for
This is not near the product it claimed to be. This is the second video game system I have purchased from amazon. While I am still in search of the right system I highly doubt it will be from amazon. I thought you guys were more aware of the quality of the products you sell and I was sorely mistaken. The game system had none of the things it was allegedly to have and the play is sloppy at best, that is when it even works.

Not a good buy
Gave it to my daughter for Christmas. We used it for about an hour and then turned it off. We went to use it the following day and it won't turn on. Very unhappy. Waste of money.

Meh-tacular.
Not enough 'King Of Fighters' games. /sWouldn't be too bad if it was a $20/$25 purchase.

Works really well, lacking in instructions
This system is literally plug-and-play. It sets up easily and quickly, however navigating menus and figuring out options would have been easier if the instructions were better. Also, the limited on-screen help often does not match up with the controller’s buttons, so it takes a lot of trial and error. Aside from that, this is a very nice and solid gaming box. It is advertised as 30,000 games. While I have not counted each game, there are 3,000 pages of 10 games each, so needless to say there are plenty of games to play. There is a search feature and I was able to find many console and arcade games from my childhood ranging from simple 8 bit to some pretty complex 3D ones. Just browsing through the selection I notice a ton of M.A.M.E. arcade style games. Some allow you to save your progress, others not. I ran across at least one demo copy, so some of these may not be the full game. Nonetheless, there are certainly plenty of good quality games to play. It comes with 2 wireless controllers that are battery powered - 2 AAA, not included. The controllers have very low latency, no noticeable lag. Good quality SD card included that houses the games and save states. If you are looking for a very decent, low cost game system to keep you or your young ones busy… I can certainly recommend this one.
