Nice tool
Very sharp, cut at an angle for clean smooth cuts not recommended for chopping. Slices easily through my 4” thick palm fronds with one swing. Perfect amount of weight.

nice blade
Why did you pick this product vs others?:sheath is cheap but overall the blade is nice. came sharp and i mean sharp. but on the tip either its meant to be dull with a blade look or it was skipped during sharpening process. its a good size for hiking, camping, hunting, or in my case landscaping, does sit nice on the hip while walking or sitting on the mower. one other thing i didnt like about this product was the handle feels off in my hands. the curve in the handle should have been moved up a bit for a better grip in my opinion.

Brittle steel – beware
The steel was too brittle on mine. I bought it to chop down some live, soft bamboo thickets, and within minutes the blade had chipped. Just about anything slices through that bamboo, so I cannot understand why it would chip a machete.BUT, the seller contacted me after my review and gave me a refund. That takes the risk out of buying from them.

Comes already sharpened, amazing for shrubs
Doing some gardening in my back yard and needing something compact and sharp.the length is perfect. Other machetes are just too long for what i needed it.

Not worth it!
You get what you pay for. The handle on the one shipped to me was half raw wood no oil at all. You can look at this blade and tell it’s cheap and will rust easily. Returning this. The sheath is a cheap as it can be and you will not be able to resecure it once you open the snap.

Ooooo this is nice!
I am more than satisfied with this machete. I dont know about cutting trees but small sticks, some brush and even splitting some kindling would be excellent for this blade. The back side is thick so it’s a great space for hammering down (with a log) a stick to split it.The blade is very sharp just from the feel of it and it looks incredible. The handle is excellent with a nice amount of grip on it.It comes with a little cord to create a wrist strap as well.Secondly it did come with a faro rod and whistle. the whistle is a bit primitive and cheap but it does work. The faro rod works as well with the striker that it comes with.I think the whole assembly is a little heavy for a long hike or survival but keeping this in the pack is a great ideas as its very sharp and there are a lot of things you can do with a sharp and thick blade. Easily a great fire starter, splitter, defender, and cooking tool.I highly recommend a machete like this one. I have a few others but I do prefer this look and feel over the other two I have.
