Works, doesn't always close when off
Purchased this to help cool a small workshop in the garage attic. Its a barn roof style building and not insulated metal roof so gets very hot in the summer. This does a fairly good job of moving air, especially if I open the door on the other side.The price was the best for its size I could findThis would be perfect if: - It always closed fully when off - It came with a power cord attached - The corners were sealed - no plastic on itI ended up adding a power cord to plug it in to a switched outlet. Its designed to be hard wired, this isn't really bad, but would be nice if it had a cord but was set up to easily remove it for hard wire install. This didn't affect my rating.It would be nice if it closed fully, but the louvers can rub on one side or the other and not close fully when off. I just bang on the wall when turning it off and it closes the rest of the way. The corners are not sealed so I needed to use some caulking on them so rain hitting it wouldn't come insideThere is a plastic film on it which is hard to remove. The metal is stamped so hard to remove the plastic without cutting yourself if not careful.

Fan is well made. Louvers are a bit flimsy
Fan ended up not moving as much air as I hoped, but is also a lot quieter than I expected. frame and fan housing is well made. Electrical connection is kinda poorly thought out. Would have been better to either have a longer cord attached or no cord attached. The 6" that is attached is too short for any application I can think of and is a bad spot to splice to a longer cord. Biggest concern is the louvers however. They are very thin aluminum and will bend easily.

Cheap cheap cheap
You get what you pay for. This is cheap made. Thin metal. Came in beat up and broken. Doesn't move much air. Thankfully I was able to return.

Good fan with fragile cover hinges
Hard to choose the number of stars.I’m building a greenhouse.I bought 1 of this 24 inch first.The “fan” part works fine for me.But the small parts that behave as hinges that open and close the metal stripes broke.Since I need one fan to blow toward inside anyway and can go without those stripes I didn’t bother to return it.Later I bought 1 more 24” and 2 of 16”. They don’t have broken parks. But i’m sure the parts I mentioned are very fragile.
