We’ve ordered these before. They work great to light up dark corners of our backyard. We like that they don’t have to be mounted.

This review is for the Ontel Night Hawk - Super Bright 450 Lumen LED Security Spotlight. I was very pleased with this item. And for the price - under $20 - glad I purchased 2.The light is definitely bright - as you can see from my images...this is from just ONE light. One side of my home is private and surrounded by trees (a pro)...but it's pitch black dark (con). The light does stay on for 20 seconds once motion is detected. The unit has been mounted for approximately five months now and I have not had to change the battery nor have I noticed any malfunctions - including with rain (note, I walk by the light once a week to check its performance).Though the unit itself is considerably light, I strongly recommend installing with screws vs. mounting tape as the security light requires Four D batteries.

The main thing that I did not like about this light was that it has no power activation switch. The only way to deactivate it is to pull the batteries or point it at a wall (leaves the sensor on all day looking at unused zone).This light is directional so I had used this light to give me a tactical advantage such that it would blind an intruder approaching the short entrance way outside of my room, while I could stay in the resulting blackness far behind it, steadying my aim.It was a headache to remove the batteries each morning. After doing this for about 5 months, the plastic clamps get fatigued from that type of use and then stop working so that you cannot close it again. If they added an off/on switch, I could have simply turned it off in the morning, and I would have given this product a five star rating. The motion sensor always worked well, and the light is intensely bright.

This light worked wonderfully at first however I ordered it in February and in May the light no longer works. There is only me and my husband here and we're normally both in by dark and there's not a lot of traffic in and out of our home. Also I called the customer service they said that they would send me a replacement however they did not.

I’m not sure why there is a lot of bad reviews on this product but I LOVE IT! I have 4 already and there are SUPER good. They are VERY bright, motion sensor is accurate. Turns off when there is no motion which is great for battery life. Here in NYC we had a storm of rain very bad one with strong wind and my light STILL work great after that which was why I purchased another one for the yard ! I recommend !!!

We got these to light up our side yard for taking dog out at night. We bought several and they are very bright. The only thing is there is no way to adjust how long the lights stay on and they always shut off before we need them to. They come back on after sensing motion though. They lasted several months before we needed to change batteries.
