CRETACOLOR Black Box Charcoal Drawing Set of 20 - Tin Box (Free Brustro Artists' Sketch Book A5)

This is a great product, with good quality pencils and other charcoal products. Basically having 3 types of pencils - Reisskohle, Nero and Woodless graphite. Reiskohle is kind of having a matte finish type hard black, and is really brittle if not handled properly. And Nero pencils are quite similar in usage like graphite pencils. The hard pencils with higher number are lighter in tone.And NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER, drop the box. So always get it from a good seller & make sure it had proper packing before opening the plastic seal.Beginners would find quite comfortable with the Nero pencils itself and Professionals would obviously figure out how to use the Reisskohle and other charcoal products.And ALWAYS SHARPEN THEM SHORT as they are very fine and brittle. Don't use a long eraser.(You may check out my instagram or youtube - 'iamaljith', where I'll upload a video review and usage of the product.The paper stump provided is of proper fine quality. And there are fine graded and course graded charcoal sticks for usage.Cretacolor kneaded eraser is one of the best out there.It's better to buy an extra set of paper stumps of different sizes and an electronic eraser. (find an affordable one. )There is only a small piece of sandpaper. So it's better to buy a big extra sheet with same grade.Also, the product is fine on usage on any type of paper. I've tried it on 130GSM drawing book sheet. But the best results was received on 250GSM Brusto Hot pressed.The product is charcoal not graphite. Of course it's going to be messy. So, it's better to wear gloves and use masking tapes at the borders if you want to handle it neat.

This is a really good black box. It is perfect for beginners and well enough for professionals. Although beginners will need to learn some things in advance but that's not a problem. Now to the product itself. The box arrived in a good condition. The sketch book is especially good. However the ressikole pencils can be a little frustrating as it's hard to fill certain areas cause they are not very pointed. The stump is hands down amazing. The quality of the monolith is top class and the gradiations of the charcoal stumps is clean. The price is reasonable enough. Go ahead and but it if you ask me.

Recieved the box in a nice condition. All the items inside were intact and none was missing Thanks to the seller. The tin box had no print as shown in the description pics and I liked it that way.I recieved a 78 sheets wirobound brustro A5 sketch pad with the box which is the greatest deal with it.The items inside the box look premium. The pencils' wood however, is of light and brittle quality. Will update on it later.So far, happy with the purchase.

very good product. pencils are not so smooth but good.satisfied with vine charcoal and compressed charcoal these are very good.you can use water with the thick sketching charcoal.the sketch book comes along with this product is also a good product but I faced problem with wiro bound. the pages are thick and good well if you use it only for sketch. but not so good for water colour, can use light water colour. but I am satisfied with sketch. paper size is A5. I attached an image of this sketch book with my laptop, you can understand the original size of it.overall a very good product from amazon. I suggests to buy this product.

If you're a beginner in the mood to experiment with graphite and charcoal, look no further than this compact kit. The only thing really missing is some charcoal powder, which you're of course free to make yourself with the sandpaper provided. I'm no beginner, but I still find this kit extremely useful as a starting point for building my complete toolkit.

The product is good for the money you pay. I'm a beginner in charcoal and I was advised this charcoal box to start with and I'm not disappointed. The result is good and depends on your ability how well you use the pencils amd sticks. Also the Brustro's sketch book is of good quality which came free with this purchase. The only complaint that I have is, one Graphite pencil and one compressed charcoal stick was broken when I opened the box.

I love this product, Every thing under one box. I never used and seen before these items showing inside box like charcoal stick, different type of eraser, monolith pencil, and paper stump for shading. So i exited to use it. It would be more useful for beginner or pencil sketch lovers to try it. You need to see how to draw it with charcoal from youtube before you buy it, Once you get some experience then it will be easy to handle. I will carry this box anywhere to do sketching wow. Only drawback is two sticks were broken stage when i unbox it. It may happens when it comes from long courier journey as charcoal sticks are in very lighter weight. other than that I love it so much.
